This. Find one person you synergize really well with and roll with them. I would say avoid duoqueueing bot because it can backfire pretty well, but if you guys are good enough at utterly shutting down the enemy and carrying a game then go for it. Had a flawless record duoing soraka/graves, and pretty much any time you pick up someone like WW and snowball in top you're set for the game if you have at least one other competent person. Since you're down in the late 700s pubstomping champs are perfectly viable and can make gaining elo that much easier if you can get fed.

I used to duo as Soraka and my bud as Graves. We could literally shut down bottom lane almost every game and eventually carry the team. Probably can't happen anymore with the new gameplay and experience changes, but it was pretty fun.

I have won all but one game soraka/graves but that was because they literally focused all of their ganks on bot and shut us down. Graves got no farm and I got no assists

yea its such an op combo its not funny spam buckshot a lot of my friends say that that combo is the reason they "nerfed" graves in the first place

The amount of armour Graves gets with dat combo is excessive. The enemy AD Carry aint got shit on Graves' armour. So beast.

But, It was buffed and now it makes her a much better support. Free manas for everyone.

Just played a game of 3's for fun and the other team was tryn, yi, and ashe... I'm the only person that gets any armor items... How do kids get to level 30 and still not know how to play the game?

If you REALLY want to plow through low elo games like nothing, pick up Blitz. They have no idea how to handle him. Usually the build I do fairly well with is Faerie Charm + 3 wards + 2 hp pots + 1 mana pot into a Philo Stone, get boots 1 then a HoG (make sure you always keep wards around), upgrade to Boots of Mobility, make a Frozen Heart, the your build can usually go a few ways. If they have hefty magic damage get a Veil, if your team is doing really well pick up a Sheen, if they have strong AD and your FH isn't cutting it consider finishing Randuin's early. More often than not my games end before I can do much after FH. End build should be something like Shurelya's, Mobi Boots, Randuin's, Frozen Heart, Triforce, BV/FoN.
