A lot of people say this, I don't understand why though

I wish I could understand why anytime I make a stream faster than around 230 bpm, people say they don't like the patterns...
It's especially weird to me because I love the kind of rolly, 1234 and 4321 based streams that I make.
For me they are the best patterns for high speeds, but I keep getting comments like that so it's clearly not the same for others.
Please PM me and explain, I'd love to learn what it is I'm doing wrong!

      I find most of hi19's streams comfortable <_<;

...then again, I'm better at index-friendly streams.

Rave7's streams were way better on mirror -- it has to do with how 23 and 32 transitions work out, since I actually wound up hitting a lot of them as jumps (yes, in between 2 frame intervals). Simply put, a lot of 23 and 32 transitions in the middle of a stream are very annoying.

What sucked a lot too is the left right trill to the two up down notes. I always had to hit that as a jump, otherwise it was avsplit with boo.

        Edit:

Stepping Guide 101: When making streams, having a lot of 23 and 32 transitions can get annoying very fast. This is why split rolls with a lot of 23 and 32 patterns are brutal to score on because in reality what happens is that a good amount of them actually get hit as jumps.

Of course there are also a good amount of 23 and 32 transitions I hit without jumps, but they were still more like gallops rather than anything.

Edit: Looked at Halogen's Eclipse replay, it's not like this is just limited to me either. Pretty much everyone falls victim to it, or has a really high risk of doing so.

That looks like a good explanation of how I mess up jumpstreams that I might be hitting nonjumps as jumps.. Hm.

Oh Dossar, interesting. I'll be sure to remember that, I never realized quite how bad those transitions were to hit if they are 2-framers in the middle of a stream fast enough to contain 1 frame intervals elsewhere.

lol, the point is that depending on how 23 and 32 are placed, it increases the tendency for the player to hit it as a jump. Granted you still did a good amount of the file (and you also hit the 24th streams in Rave7 cleaner than I did, but still had some occasional jumps).

To me this is why I'd consider it pretty important for a speed player to test out your file for annoying transitions and such. The stream in Rave7 and Eclipse are "doable" but they're not particularly the best for scoring, haha.

Well, that or they are excellent for scoring... depends on which side of the glass you are on haha

Improved a little bit on Sparkle Downer and cleaned up many of the boos from my first FC.

AAA'd the jacks. Got nervous going for the SDG and dropped some goods at the end.

DAMN IT, BEN!!!! And it was my best PA, too.

Only moved up 5 ranks and I would've been satisfied with this if not for the dreaded asterisk in my Tier Point stats.

OK, fixed the asterisk. Done playing this song for the night.
