The only issue with it is that it's a bit slow at first and taking blue is a pain in the ass without a decent leash.

Not at all, Hes not that slow either, the only thing is that you have to know how to jungle well to do it. You constantly hover at 200-250 life during jungle phase. Blue is easy, just take a health pot as soon as you get hit from the little lizard.
Always get Expunge first.

Twitch is really slow compared to all the other fast clearing junglers (mundo, shyv, sej). And he gets countered by pink wards super early (which WILL happen in most ranked games) Plus he is super prone to getting counter jungled. Only redeeming factor is if you can get your mid or top snowballing with constant pressure, but overall, there are tons of better jungle picks.

I wasn't expecting so many negative outlooks on him. He is a great jungler and people don't buy Pink wards right off the bat.
His ganks are still great no matter what
I know there are better junglers like Udyr and Lee Sin but I just got twitch so I'm still playing him most games.

Actually I immediately buy a pink because I know he's going to level 2 gank if he's worth his salt. Forgo a little bit of lane sustain for actual safety.

This. Compare his jungle time to someone like skarner... It's really slow. However, he does have his pros, such as super stealth and being a living ward... Also is nice to have two ad carries.

Playing with friends who are new to tha game. Stuff happened and the bots ended up killing all 3 inhibs. Constant wave clear kept us alive through countless waves of supers. Inhibs re-spawned, destroyed immediately again, more barely holding off countless waves of supers. This went on for a while before we were able to snowball kills in quick succession and keep our inhibs up.

tldr: 93 min bot game gg

Anivia has been my main since season 1, most fun champ imo. I just miss her old ult when there wasn't a giant mana cost to place it down. Egg got nerfed since then too, but that was needed.
Bird of Prey skin is hawt too.
