Hint: try it with halftime on.

No, really. On some easy maps with few notes, spinners play a big role in your score. Funnily, the number of "spins" you need to do goes up with halftime, while the score each hit awards you with stays at 300.

PS - glad to see more people trying out taiko! :3

@ScarletSky: What kjwkjw ^ said is true in some maps. If you use HalfTime, try to perfect those drum rolls to get incredible scores. There was one replay I saw not long ago that made into the top 40 with 0% accuracy and with only drum rolls.

Started playing a LOT more taiko. xD I'm now addicted to it in addition to standard.
I'm working through a Taiko beginner guide here: http://osu.ppy.sh/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=23041 and it's helped a ton.

I can now seriously read the patterns SO MUCH better. I only play with hard rock on though, it actually makes most of the songs easier to read. Here's a complete sightread, I could probably SS this even.
