If you get good, you must announce it to the world so you can arbitrarily be moved up a division 4/5 rounds into the tournament.

Your logic is JUST as bad because guess what - one player intentionally holding out on their skill ruins the tournament for EVERYONE else in that same division. Far be it for me to call you selfish, but...

Intentionally? No. But if I wanted to do nothing but play Dossar's engine from now until the end of the tournament, only play FFR for my tourny song, and manage to walk away from that low-teens/sdg FGOs like hi19....I'd call that getting better, not sandbagging.

I have no problem with people improving throughout the course of the tournament - no one on the tournament staff truly does. The people that have been moved are people who have had outstanding scores that were say, overlooked or completely out of their division's league. When I was referring to offline engine play, I also mentioned multiple times that I was talking about a person who intentionally held out on the skill. You obviously agree with that seeing your first two words of the post, haha.

When I'm referring to sandbagging, I'm referring to someone who is intentionally holding back in an effort to just win a prize when they should be fighting in a higher division. Personally, those who are just hiding out in a lower division are cowards and don't want to take the chance to improve. A good majority of the players who are still in right now have made some sort of improvement to stay alive.
