How is jungling a bad idea? You maximize the amount of gold and experience gained by your team and you have someone roaming around ganking when people overextend, which should be often in the solo lane.

depends on lineups and opponents lineups 2 - 1 - 2 settings without junglers can be pretty epic as well, as long as you can manage to keep the opponents top lane from any kinda farm. both got benefits and negative points tho

From what I've seen the jungle is still usable

But why wouldn't you use it? So your top now has split XP and all the other lanes lose gank availability almost all of the time early game? I see it as a way of losing a possible first blood

In the games where me and my friends decided not to have a jungler, we've gotten first blood many times. Just need more vision than normal.

I guess in that sense it works. But you're right, jungling has been changed too much

Also Nocturne needs to be buffed b/c I find him almost useless now. His ult made him awesome, now that's nerfed to shit

Well you said yourself that the devs are reworking it. If Phraek wants to play everything as a jungler (AND BOY DOES HE), jungling will be viable. I'm going to be patient.

I know, but in the moment it's shit. That's why he was complaining about people on his team jungling. Jungling before this patch was a must-have for teams.

It's NOWHERE NEAR as good. Jungling helps get some early kills, but in early game the jungler can't even keep up with bottom lane in levels unless they refuse to gank. The XP gain has been overnerfed.

* XP Rate: This isn't as smoothed out as we'd liked (or was intended) and has been the most noticeable problem in the new jungle. While we do think this is not as drastically far off as some believe, it is lower than intended. We'll likely make updates here, especially relating to small camps.

* Penalty of missed ganks: While we do like this tradeoff, we don't like the tradeoff ratio here, something you guys have also felt pretty substantially. Changes made will effect this for the better, whether in increased reward or reduced resource loss.

* Gold Rate: Jungler gold is slightly lower than needed, and this is also related to small camp gold. We will be more careful here as to not make counter-jungling worse (since it revolves largely on stealing the big monsters out of camps), but will be evaluating this.

Let's nerf the amount of gold and and exp jungle camps give, so that junglers are under-funded and under-leveled the entire game unless they steal lane exp.
Then let's increase the spawn rate of jungle monsters so that the penalty for ganking is larger than before, and counter-jungling and early jungle invades become totally useless.

These changes should give us the gank-heavy, active game we want.

99% of "junglers" do neither
i've seen several just start laning without a word
