that applies to everyone who got knocked out on the first couple rounds in every division..shit, if I knew that while I was whoring, 4 clean became the cutoff I would have not wasted those 2 hours today, those are precious hours considering my schedule. Damn, I just hope next year I won't be in D6. D6 (old D5) is like the guillotine, unless you are around Leonid and TC level, you aren't ever getting vrofl, and since you most likely will never go too far down in rank or ability, you are just shutout unless you are really among the top 10 most skilled players, which I wouldn't even consider myself top 30, maybe even 40. I was really unlucky, I was in D2 the first tournament ever, failed early on when I sucked, then practiced for a loooong long time and by the next tournament was D5, which back then was the highest division. ****. Was out first round. FFR is back up, I'm worse than before and I'm D6 now. Looks like I'll never have my beloved vrofl

I was actually really close with the elimination structure O.o

EDIT: Only two more people need to beat a bf for D4, then we won't have to worry about super elimination next round!

it's not like I don't know that. It's just a went from D2 to D6 instantly with no between room, that's fine and people do that, it just means me and everyone else who did are really shutout of the competition for, well, ever unless we reach the top 10 most skilled players level. Sure, it's something to strive for, but most people say you can get good at anything with enough practice, same with FFR, but I think there's a limit. There's a degree of talent and physical capability that can get you in those ranks. I've practiced like nuts, I don't doubt I would be top 20 overall rank if not 10 if it weren't for the fact that I click the replay button nearly instantly for almost all my plays. I play around 2-3 hours every other day if not more, that's more than most people I think, but I haven't been getting any better for years. Even if I one day can hit FGO's, I highly doubt I'll ever be able to do something like Eclipse. This could also be due to my key setup and playing style, but I don't think that has as big an impact. The point is I don't think I'll ever reach top 10 skill because I don't think I'm physically capable of it in comparison. People say that too and then reach it, but I practice just as much I think if not more and I play lots of SM too. So for those of us who can never reach top 10 skill being in D6 make tournaments not worth more but to try and beat those around our skill level before we lose. That's fine and dandy but I would like to one day have a shot at at least the bronze.
I'm not upset at all, it's just a game, and I'm not frustrated either, I'm just doing physics and then watching Infinite Ryvius so it's all good, but I'm just saying it would be nice to not be stuck in an unsurpassable place forever.It's getting better all the time
