I think this is why I prefer retro games to modern games in the most part. While they're hard as hell, they're also short and sweet. I finished about 50% of the games I have - half retro and half modern.

You don't even need that article to explain why people don't finish video games. lol It can be explained in a few short sentences. 1. They got bored cause they don't like it. 2. They just like multiplayer online. 3. Game is too hard. Yep that's about it. Unless they have disorders and just can't keep still. Other than that. That's about it.

There's not too much difficulty in it at all, really. Even the minigames and sidequests are really easy. The only thing I have seen that was hard in that game is Sephiroth, and even he is easy if you beat him up.

edit: I can't seem to find a way to beat Minecraft. How? I know someone by the name of Chuck N. who can though. He won't reply to any of my emails..

If I find a game that I happen to really like, unless life is in the way, I will try to finish it. If the game is just decent then I will just beat it, no extras unless there's something special like a secret. If the game is crap, I will never touch it again.

This depends on how you define "difficult." It's also dependent on your ability of playing the game. Personally, I beat everything with relative ease in Kingdom Hearts 2. That doesn't mean, however, for someone else who plays games less than I do, or picks up on the skills used to play the game slower, that it would be easy for them as well. Also, sometimes people have this view that if it isn't nearly impossible hard, it isn't considered difficult at all.

given the abilities that kh2 hands out, it's a much easier game to complete than kh1 though; i personally didn't complete kh1 because of the endgame grind.

depends on how you define "completion" too, because i don't actively seek out the additional challenges a game has to offer. i forget why i own consoles.

My original point wasn't to say KH2 was hard or easy. A game being difficult doesn't make a game good.

I bought Assassin's Creed II back in July and am only a third done, but that's because I play it at my friend's house since I don't care to replay the first 5 hours of the game.

Difficult as in on a harder mode I actually feel challenge and think that it's an accomplishment to beat it. Like Rygar on the NES, or like getting a highscore on Tetris.
