I never intended to bring up some kind of anarchy up here, quite frankly. I respect the staff, their discussions and, as I've said, I am well aware that none of what I am saying will change anything since I am nothing more than a regular user over here. Of course you have private discussions and that's fine with me. Please excuse me if I didn't express myself correctly.

All I asked for was a reason as to why the things that happen happen. Again, I don't want FFR to transform into some kind of anarchy, but, the way I saw it, it seemed like the complete opposite for a brief moment.

EDIT: You do bring up something, AJ. "We are a team." This, unconsciously, was the reason that made me think we had the right to participate in those debate. We do are a team, after all. Part steppers and part judges, we all cooperate to make FFR the best rhythm game possible!

EDIT2: But I dropped the gun. I now understand the reason behind your actions and have less difficulty accepting them.

I'm not saying that users shouldn't be able to have any say in things. But I think it is best at times for staff members to discuss certain things outside the public eye so people aren't freaking out bout something that may not happen anyway. It saves a lot of bs and people making spam posts like "oh you're just butt hurt" or "the mods are mad" etc.

I should also add that I also say this because so far every time there has been a new batch there has been a shit storm in the threads.

Well, I'm bringing up team in the context of the judges team. The submitters are obviously working in collaboration with us because we act as a filter for the game content. There does need to be a compromise between how the judges control content and how users react to these guidelines, otherwise these arguments will never stop.

I personally feel like the current system is alright if people are willing to wait for the appropriate deadlines, but if it's needed, it might be necessary to keep some of the action in the Simfile Judgment subforum. It's ultimately up to JX to decide this.

This has to do with the judges and the structure of the batch judgment...? How does this have anything to do with moderation when it's pertaining entirely to the structure of the batch?

Call it a mess, a shit storm or whatever, to me, it's part of FFR and is necessary in the community life.

Take fireworks for example. When they happen, everybody gets together in order to get a chance to see them. After having a good time, they all try to scatter back to their home - which is, every time, a mess, a shit storm, etc. There's no way around it. When the streets are a mess, you know there's a firework, and vice versa.

People react violently over anybody who could keep them waiting because they're anxious to see how well they did. In the end, this hate which can be directed at the staff comes from the love the members have for their game and community. It can't be said otherwise: At times, we hate you because we love you.

So here's my thesis as of now: Go on with the secret board, it's all fine. However, when there's a "shit storm", it's not because we're taking the batch as an opportunity to spam our beloved board, and staff/mods/judges/admins/anybody should keep that in mind.

Just so you guys know, I have work 72hrs a week, so time flies for me. -__- I don't really care how long it takes or whatever you think I'm complaining about. I was legitimately curious as to what happens if say Silvuh doesn't submit any judge results by the time deadline rolls around, because it's not like you can just "oh well, someone didn't submit any results so we'll just remove that judge". BECAUSE THAT WOULD **** THE SYSTEM MAN! xP

I like how when I get excited that I might have the chance to contribute to the community and get anxious to see the fruits of my effort, I'm called an impatient whiner. Just LOVE the people here.

This is a very good idea (we would also need to have no judge post their grade distribution until the deadline). That way nobody can get on the remaining judges' asses. Still, though, you're going to have to deal with people being impatient. It's part of being in a community, and there's no reason to get angry about it. Especially if you're a judge and a moderator.

I completely agree with this. It's a pretty bad teaser since no one knows what songs the results go to, just what the results are. Basically, a really bad guessing game that no one wins except the judge who posted them.

All this should probably be discussed in the judges forum. I actually made a thread earlier today which mentioned a few of the things that are being mentioned here.

You don't think non-judges should have any say in this, or be able to follow the discussion?

I think for the sake of sparing people flipping out, it's better discussed there. What's the point of having a judges forum if we never use it?

I'm with QQ here, since there are people out there who can provide good suggestions or come up with better alternatives, they may not even be aware of the problem to solve. But I also agree with Kayle because there would be those that flipped out over the littlest stupid shit. So it's kinda hard to determine the best solution for this.
