    That is all.

I couldn't agree more! Also vote holds!

Okay, so I actually played a few games with holds just for funzies because I thought I liked them.

Turns out that I hate them. I think their a cheap trick and pulling off a combo with a hold in it doesn't feel nearly as satisfying as pulling off a difficult pattern.

        Re: BlackWebb Wishlist [Vote Now!]

Lately, it seems like more and more often holds get abused like in the old Honor file from KBMP2...it's either outright overkill or a bunch of 32nd measures that just look nice but don't really serve a purpose. Mines aren't as bad, but then there's the practice of putting them in total douche spots like the Torajirou Bowser's Castle file in I forget what pack it was. That will happen and then people will complain about it. Holds and mines have their place and it's not here. We tried doing that stuff in R2, remember?

I say implement them, but keep it separate. As in, separate scorecharts for BW only files. FFR is good enough as it is and turning it into SM would destroy its simple beauty.

Also, I'd like to say that if the majority does favor multiple charts, it shouldn't be forced, and for the sake of our sanity no more widget files.

Widgets were a great idea in theory, but the fact that the charts had to have appeal to those unused to the rigors of rhythm gaming, the multiple difficulties, and the bands saying WE WANT THIS NAO -> rushed files -> painful results, even if those representing FFR had said "Okay, give us X amount of time to get some decent levels together."

Simartists don't work well on a deadline. :X

main problem with the widgets was making them separate, not part of the game

                -Remove boo's
There is no need for boos if averages cause you to lose combo.

                -Average causes combo break
So that mash scores can't result in full combo's.

                -Raw scoring system
So full combo scores with all averages aren't superior to full perfects and 1 miss.

                -Backward compatible
Being able to use all of ffr's .swf files would be amazing.

                  Re: BlackWebb Wishlist [Vote Now!]

i would say keep boos, because it doesn't punish too heavily while preventing someone from getting an AAA by doing a mistap and such

and averages causing combo break would render songs such as..

death piano / rato / revo etude / etc virtually impossible to full combo for 99.99% of all players

raw scoring system however, i do support.

Those songs shouldn't be full comboable in the first place. If you had to mash any part of the song than there is no reason you should be able to keep your combo. This wouldn't matter assuming it was raw scoring.

By "widget songs" I meant "long generic soft-rock songs that take forever to AAA" but I guess they're not that bad.

yes, by "widget songs" i think you meant "ridiculously long generic rock songs that only AAA whores bother AAAing and cause players to fall asleep"

what would be nice though is if we had some website like last.fm support us and take widgets into account (maybe embed) but that's a longshot :P

                              Okay, here we go.

ACC: Perf/Good/Avg/Miss/Boo - I enjoy this way, it has just grown on me after 6 years and I can't really escape it. Plus, every other rhythm game has the other way with marv / perf etc. It just seems like that's run its course in my opinion.

DIFF: Single Difficulty per Song (Absolute!) - Again what defines FFR. Some songs may have a [Light], [Standard], [Heavy], or [Oni] version but most of the songs don't need to have second files; usually it is only made in cases like Otaku Heavy/Oni because they were difference rewards, or a v2 is made for a file someone considers to be off, or "bad".

ARR: 4 Arrows Only - If someone wanted 6 arrows there are plenty of other games for it; 4 is enough and I feel it could stay that way without disappointing any active members of the community.

MULT: 2 or MORE Player Multiplayer - Well let's face it, a lot of games don't offer a multiplayer, and the ones that do it's usually a 2+. I feel like this gives the option to play against a friend or play for levels, or to just have a group of friends or an FFR party (for all the FFR-nerds like me that would enjoy that). It just stretches the possibilities of what's possible on FFR, and I like that general concept.

HOLDS - You must give a very good reason below! - Yes yes yes, in most cases I usually hate actually playing them, but whether or not I admit it - they are fun! They make for much MUCH more accurate stepfiles and if a song has an extended note, then I feel like there should be an extended step. Sometimes on FFR I've made the mistake of holding a long note at the beginning of a song and I failed out. However with this added thing the whole boo-concept could be a little out of whack and I don't want that, I prefer keeping the boos!

CRAP. I didn't realize we could vote for more than one thing when I voted. /Sad.

                                Perf/Good/Ave/Miss/Boo - So much love <3

4 Arrows Only - Solo is nice, but not for FFR.

2 or more MP - Why not? (other than rofllag)

Replacement files (not in Multiple Choice) - Clearly the widget files we have are crap. The poor simartists didn't get much of a choice and were pretty much forced into crapping up something yucky and 4 minutes long. I'd be perfectly fine with keeping the song, if we replaced the charts with newer versions (same goes with Legacy; Damn you SYNTH FILES. Though we should still keep the old legacy files just for the "Legacy", not the old widgets.)

EDIT: ROFL while I'm at it, I may as well ask for the return of Video Chat. Obviously this is going to be ignored indefinately, but why the hell not?
