What if I am stepping a song by a new artist that has been remixed by someone other? Can I still submit it as long as the remix's based of a song of a new artist?

I just finished stepping a song of which the artist-label says: "Vorpal (new artist on FFR); (Name of Remixer (forgot the name lul))

The song is published on a Vorpal album, too

A song composed by X, arranged/remixed by Y - If Y is a new song artist, you can use this song (basically you only need permission from Y). If X is and Y isn't, we'll detemine if we accept it or not case by case.

I'm guessing variety is the key? The point of this batch is to step as many new artists as possible. Getting permission and not using it is sort of insulting to the artist tbh, so this batch is to redeem all that is forsaken I suppose.

Yeah that's because we want variety in song artists, less unstepped musicians = better.

I was joking lol, I've done this once like 3 years ago. My file obviously didn't get in. I'm surprised you thought I was being serious though.
