I *have* the token and I agree that it should be unlockable (so enough "you're just complaining" arguments). It should be something lower-level players can do too though (although it should be difficult for everyone), so that just like the old official tournaments it's not only reserved for the topmost players.
And I do kinda like the idea of having one stupidly hard song (as long as it's NOT public), but it should be available to new people, because otherwise what's the point of keeping it in the game?

Mostly because I'm a Veteran, but It's also not a bad idea though, becoming a Veteran only seems special before you obtain it, honestly. There needs to be a really nice prize for spending your life playing this game.

As you mentioned, unlocking vROFL should not be easy and obtaining it should require a considerable amount of skills. Becoming a veteran requires you to wait 3 years and have an overall grandtotal of 3 billion. Are you like kidding me? I can get 3 billion in 2 weeks without even trying. Let alone 3 billion in 3 years.
A vet could easily be someone who sucked at the game and barely played that much, and just happened to be on this site for more than 3 years. Plus, if this actually happens, A LOT of people are going to unlock vROFL.
A better way that also indicates the true skill of an individual could be AAAing any 2 FMOs consecutively, or 10 VC's back to back. or even something like this.
AAA a level 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 song in a row.

You say that you could get 3 billion in 2 weeks. That's nice and all, but not everyone has the patience or the skill to do that.
Take me for example. I needed all 4 of my years being here to obtain Veteran status (minus the downtime). What's most important is looking in perspective. It's not what you can do that decides it, it's what everyone can do. Some people would die for 3 Billion Grand Total score. I honestly was off the wall when I first reached 1 Billion.
EDIT: For the record, I did like you're idea of AAA'ing a 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 consecutively.
