Head over to the FFR Batch Forum for all the details on how you can get your file into the game. The Artist Permissions forum section will help you find out if FFR has permission to use the song your file goes with.

I can't criticize you guys since I can't draw even if my life depended on it. Both backgrounds have strong points. True, Shikari's text might look a bit "unprofessional", but I believe that yours is a bit too small and not striking enough compared to his. It blends in that big splash of paint. I also liked Shik's color palette a bit more, but your splash effect definitely makes that other version look plain...
Re: FFR Community Pack Summer 2011 (Submissions Open)
Dear everyone: go back to 2010 with your fancy art school graphics. Here in 2011 we are back to 2005 graphics with nude anime girls and text covering their woohoos. Patrick Du is a hater and should be treated as such.
Re: FFR Community Pack Summer 2011 (Submissions Open)
I'm going to be blunt and honest but both sets are generic and bad. Keep in mind I have high standards and I care more about type than backgrounds (I'm majoring in graphic design and I'm all about typography). Nobody cares about GFX unless you're me or a design snob so I'm just going to include both sets. Errybody wins etc.

Like LCP3, whenever I've gotten enough files for a release, lol
Re: FFR Community Pack Summer 2011 (Submissions Open)
cool, im stepping an 8 minute long scar symmetry solo medley(isaac knows) so i just wanted to make sure i'll have enough time to finish it. hopefully submission slows down and i'll have time to finish it then xd
Re: FFR Community Pack Summer 2011 (Submissions Open)
Yes, I really want to be part of this pack so I really hope It doesn't close before I can finish. I won't rush (because rushed files usually end up horrible D: ), but I will keep in mind that there is a time limit. x.x
Also, any tips for the Beginner and Medium Charts? What can the newbies do and what can't they do? I don't want to make the newbie chart just be bursts of hard stuff xD

Re: FFR Community Pack Summer 2011 (Submissions Open)
@mithost: Play my Engine Room, because that's one of the easiest files I've released to date that had good reviews in the past if I remember correctly or ie any of my Mario Party files if you have them which I doubt since I lost them myself
If you have any other packs look at the lower rated files. The difficulty depends on the song mostly so if you're going to step an "easy" file make sure the song is fit for it
Re: FFR Community Pack Summer 2011 (Submissions Open)
You can layer in beginner songs? LOL
Anyways, I found a half finished hard chart that was pretty good, so I am touching that up and I'll add a challenge and an easy, maybe a medium if it looks like I have enough time.

standard design procedure nowadays is to use helvetica first and then try other fonts if it doesnt work out
like go through all the variations -- bold, italic, underline, etc

Idk, all I meant is to choose something and stick to it throughout the whole song, maybe the word "layering" was too much :P In my humble opinion, It's easier to step to step in that order:
Heavy
Medium
Challenge
Easy
Beginner
I can't quite explain it, I think it just works. On heavy, I usually try to step it as clean as possible. On medium, I copy the heavy chart, remove a few notes and see if that is enough (otherwise, I work some more on it, but usually, that can do the trick). Then, step a dirty version of your heavy file, go crazy. And then... Go easy. lawl. I don't know, maybe I'm giving too much thought into this.
Also,
Holy crap, you guys are talented.

I especially prefer the background, gorgeous. I don't care of it captures the true essence of the song or whatever, that thing looks NOICE.
Oh by the way, welcome to the forums, man. Awesome first post.
