Well, I like 888 and "dimension" as the songs themselves, but the steps are way too weird. I mean, I love a good challenge, but not that insane.

Valkyrie dimension is a great chart minus the speedup at the end. Its probably one of the best boss songs in a long time. That and 888 are probably the only sane 18s in the game.

I had never seen Valkyrie Dimension until just now - it actually looks like a fairly refreshing change from some of the horrid boss charts that came out from SN/SN2. Some of the 16ths at the end that force you to turn entirely in one direction really quickly are a bit rough, but doable. Middle reminds me of Trigger with all of the freeze/stop combinations, haha. I could definitely see myself playing that.

DDR isn't awful, it's just much easier than its competitors, itg, piu etc. which makes it unchallenging once you surpass DDR's difficulty threshold. In these games, fun doesn't really stem from the songs themselves, just the difficulty.

I prefer DDR over ITG, because the song doesn't always have to be one thousand million notes to be fun/challenging. Because, between you and I, I'd rather play route 80's over Utopia, anyday.

DDR isn't awful, it's just much easier than its competitors, itg, piu etc. which makes it unchallenging once you surpass DDR's difficulty threshold. In these games, fun doesn't really stem from the songs themselves, just the difficulty.

It's awful and DDR is NOT much easier than ITG. Ever see 888? Pluto Relinquish? ITG's hardest song (VerTex˛) got nothing on either of those songs.

Your confusing ITG officials for customs. DDR has surpassed ITG in difficult songs.

Between you and I, most songs that are challenging are usually one thousand million notes. Fun is a totally separate preference. With that said, anyone who chooses DDR over ITG is just grandfathered in, played DDR first OR likes one of the themes or music choice DDR uses.

Nothing can touch Pump Pro. ****in ridiculous stuff in there like V^3, Hasse Miche, the various Final Auditions, Canon-D, etc. Just retarded hard stuff plus the actual addition of the changed arrows and fifth panel. DDR certainly has jumped in difficulty but I like the flow of the majority of ITG stuff a lot better in terms of stepcharts.

if ur saying DDR is harder then ITG i got to disagree, have u played ITG? some of the hard songs are insane and 10x harder then ddrs hardest songs on any verison not jus super nova.

Well thing is that ITG follows the song more. DDR's 10-footers and such are more all over the place and unexpected. So in that sense, in terms of READING the charts it's much harder. (customs don't count)

ITG has more ~karaoke~ steps according to old school players. DDR is more of a ~go wit da flow~ style of steps. DDR's difficulty peaks and becomes harder in every sense except going faster, which is disappointing for expert players. ITG delivered much more of this, but the game itself would've died very quickly if not for r21. Because of this r21 patch, ITG will always be the better game, heck you can even add your mediocre ddr charts on it!
