I told my mom about a kid who committed suicide on this site, she acts like she doesn't care(I don't blame her really, what else can she do when she doesn't even understand the site?) and it really sparks some frustration inside of me...it feels like I'm alone.

I actually got some understanding out of my brother. So did Panic4Me and her cousin. I haven't told my parents because they ridiculed me for talking to people on the internet for years.

I think it is best to confide in those you have the confidence to speak with. If anyone would like someone to just be there to listen, I'm willing to offer my phone number by word of PM as well. Card is about done and should be getting out in the morning.

Thankfully I have some understanding people around me who realized that it's more than just some guy on the internet, I believe he truly was all of our "friend."

Every time I have almost mentioned that someone I knew recently died, I stop myself. How do I explain to people in "real life" that a person that I knew from an internet forum and never met in person died and that it upset me? Some people really don't understand the whole internet thing to begin with. I honestly don't understand it. I never saw the guy in person. He messaged me on FFR once. It was a long time ago, I had posted a stupid forum topic, I was getting flamed, and he was the only person that was friendly to me and went out of his way to talk. Just knowing that he was a real person and that now he isn't here anymore is very upsetting.

That's the exact same problem I have. It seems like no one outside of this website understands. You're among friends on this website, so talk to any of us. We all loved Steve.

Mick (ickalanda) was asked to write a little memorial thing for Steve to be on the front page. Peter (dAnceguy) and I are going to be helping him out, too so that we can get as much of his story in the best quality possible. He definitely deserves it.

It may take a little while though because we still have a few finals to get through :/

im not going to pretend like i'm not a lil weirded out that people who maybe talked to him on forumchat a few times or saw a couple of his posts are making song tributes to him... but hey, not like its hurtin anyone

He was a good guy from what I knew of him, it's a shame he thought suicide was the answer.

I agree. He really does deserve it. A lot of people knew him and were great friends with him. Take your time, guys. We understand you guys have school & what no. No rush.

Holy **** man.

In all honesty, I wasn't close to him at all, and I didn't know him too well, but still, to know someone I've at least talked to in some way, someone who I've at least known in some way to commit suicide, it saddens me greatly. I feel sorry for not only him, but to his parents, his relatives, and to everyone one of his friends, close or not.

If I could I would give his family something for some kind of support. But for, they all have my condolences...
