Obviously Pokemon. It was more original, and had a much better story. Plus the games are way better.

You must have really bad taste in shows if you thought a story about how, a trainer going around collecting badges was way better than Digimon's season 1 and 2.

I tried to get into Digimon, but when I was younger I didn't understand it that well, and I was a Pokemon fan boy at that age so my vote goes to Pokemon.

Overall, I say Pokemon because the games and the epicness was amazing.

However, Digimon show/concept is way better, imo. I loveddd the first two seasons and the movie.
