Re: The worst nightmare ever, I can't avoid goods due to a glitch...
so anyone else have any leads? This is pissing me off more and more
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)
The teachers who taught me weren't cool (No, I can't complain)
You're holding me down (Oh Oh)
Turning me round (Oh Oh)
Filling me up with your rules (Oooh)
Re: The worst nightmare ever, I can't avoid goods due to a glitch...
How onsync are the simfiles on your computer stavie? In the thread I posted requesting an offset option, TC_Halogen showed that my suggestion was entirely possible and Velocity appears to have confirmed that...hopefully he'll try to implement it in the near future (I don't know what they do behind the scenes). At that point, I'd like to see how much better my scoring is with a properly adjusted offset.

The file don't seem that off, but they probably are, because I noticed that hitting the notes 'on time' results in some goods thrown in, but when I hit what should be early enough for a good, I get perfects, I can hit a whole 2 frames early on every note and keep perfects going, actually, that's how I AAA'd Big Blue v2, now it's not early enough to notice, it still feels like I'm playing 'in sync', but I know I'm purposely hitting a little early to make up for what feels like lag/offsyncness, so yeah, I can totally see that being it. I'm just wondering why this happened all of a sudden with FFR's revival

Re: The worst nightmare ever, I can't avoid goods due to a glitch...
OS: Windows Vista
Browser: IE 8 (although this shouldn't be a concern since I prefer flash 8 standalone)
Flash version: 10 (but I use the standalone, so this is really flash 8)
CPU: Toshiba Satellite P8400
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 4GB RAM @2.27GHz
64-bit system
I honestly don't know how this would help, but sure...
Re: The worst nightmare ever, I can't avoid goods due to a glitch...
Glad to know I'm not the only one..yeah I'm in the same boat, I've noticed songs I've played recently are off sync by like a couple frames and it's annoying D: I keep getting random goods especially on jumps

Things have seemed a bit off since the return of the site. Have you tried setting your computer to best performance? That's the only thing I can really think of that might help a little. Vista does blow for FFR in general though I was playing on it for a good while I had a massive improvement when I went to 7.

Well frick, at least you can AAA that song...I struggled without success and took more caution than I ever needed to. Still have a BF on a song like this. Sad isn't it? I can't even AAA a 6.
As for frames, yeah, probably something like 2 frames off or something. The reason I suggested an offset option was because I thought the issue was variant amongst different computers (some computers offsync by a lot, some by a little, some not at all)...I didn't know before that some people have the exact same problem. Basically, I initially blamed the fact that I switched computers - but at least on SM, I actually perform better on my laptop than on my old computer. Why can't I reproduce this for FFR? An offset option would still make a lot of people happy I would presume.

I have yet to change it to best performance, but I'm going to do it now. I am also considering of getting rid of vista (I'm still on it D: )

K, I play on Windows XP, I play on a downloaded flash player 8 as recommended by TC, my computer is a IBM Thinkpad TI41, so whatever stats that computer has. I use gamebooster and play in best performance mode.
