So true, if you're even an innocent kid walking through their territory with he wrong colors on. WHABAM gun shot to tha chest. You disrespect any one in a gang even in the littlest bit, WHABAM gun shot to the chest. What about the armed robberies many gangs preform? They usually don't have any connection to the gang, they still rob them anyways.

also, WHABAM GUNSHOT TO THE CHEST.

            excellent argument

ps guys I strongly doubt that gangs go around shooting people for no reason. That's a good way to attract police attention, which btw is not what they want. Beatings maybe though I still suspect they wouldn't waste those on random people. They kill and beat when it is profitable to do so.

Yeah, my statement wasn't going along the lines of shooting people, but gangs definitely bother people who have nothing to do with gangs.

                  Re: Should drugs be illegal?

making all drugs legal would probably cut gang activity in half, but the ease in getting drugs and the way some people act on drugs would create a bigger problem. it'll never be done but if it was our economy would skyrocket.

Yeah, true. But the trade off would be too risky.

if i want any drug i can get it

if anyone wants drugs they can find them

if drugs become legal i dont think your average sperg (aka you most likely) is going to jump on the opportunity to buy a ball or whatever from your local pharmacy or wherever would sell the drugs

That's coming from a biased source. It's different for others, the ease of obtaining a drug is not like that for everyone.

-There is always going to be at least one "poor sod" who abuses a substance and gets addicted.
-What about the millions of alcoholics? That stuffs legal and harms your body, but the government sells it anyways.

                              Read an article about it.

Portugal's drug use numbers are impressive. Following decriminalization, Portugal had the lowest rate of lifetime marijuana use in people over 15 in the E.U.: 10%. The most comparable figure in America is in people over 12: 39.8%. Proportionally, more Americans have used cocaine than Portuguese have used marijuana.

The Cato paper reports that between 2001 and 2006 in Portugal, rates of lifetime use of any illegal drug among seventh through ninth graders fell from 14.1% to 10.6%; drug use in older teens also declined. Lifetime heroin use among 16-to-18-year-olds fell from 2.5% to 1.8% (although there was a slight increase in marijuana use in that age group). New HIV infections in drug users fell by 17% between 1999 and 2003, and deaths related to heroin and similar drugs were cut by more than half. In addition, the number of people on methadone and buprenorphine treatment for drug addiction rose to 14,877 from 6,040, after decriminalization, and money saved on enforcement allowed for increased funding of drug-free treatment as well.
They went by the theory of "focusing on treatment and prevention instead of jailing users would decrease the number of deaths and infections." And it was a success. I really don't see why the USA isn't doing it.
