It's pretty much like Run Elephant Run on Insane Mode.

When you first play it, you get your ass absolutely hammered to the tune of hundreds of deaths. But as you start developing approaches to each section, you minimize your variance to the unavoidable unlucky instances and screw-ups in your focus.

Most of the file I can consistently AAA now, but the ending glut is akin to the police-chase scene in RER, haha. It's hard and unpredictable no matter what. Unfortunately for DP, that hard **** is at the very end.

I don't want to sound "arrogant" perhaps? But when will we see a video? I for one think your ability on Death Piano is pretty damn insane, and great, others just think you're pure BS.

I probably won't make a video simply because I can't be bothered -- any video you make anymore never proves anything. I showed this was true with my Disregard/Tell/Gamma joke vids, which were fairly convincing to most (but obviously unbelievable).

Regarding your last point there -- as stated eons and eons ago, I kinda stopped caring about what people thought about the whole BS thing. I've made videos, played live on camera (ranging from screenview to monitor view to keyboard/hands view to overshot view), and even played in front of Tass in person. If people want to call BS, then that's fine -- just ignore my scores. It doesn't change your own personal enjoyment of the game. I play because I find great fun in the achievement of difficult tasks, and right now DP is a great candidate for optimization.

Rubix didn't you say just a day or two ago you were going to make some vids? Lots of people would find it interesting. You are sad people didn't really recognize your dp sdg but people are kinda getting numb to your scores cause the achievments are just out of proportion to anything seen. It really doesn't make sense not to make a video if you care about recognition which you keep making clear you do.

Here is my personal opinion on Rubix, though I'm sure many won't agree with me and will just say I'm hoping the Rubix bandwagon.... but I basically looked at it like this.


You've been playing SM/DWI/FFR for 10+ years might as well say, while most of the community has played from a range of 1 to 7. Regardless of the way you look at it, you have a minimum of 3 years on some of the top active players.

You've proven yourself time and time again, I for one, used to think you were BS as well. After the many times you have proven yourself, I really think you are true to keyboard, and are legit. Through the massive amount of videos, live play, etc, I don't know how people can think you are BS. Maybe players still have the mindset on Death Piano that the song is "Impossible" and can't see that someone is skilled enough to really nail it, and do what was once thought as impossible. All I got to say. Wish more people saw it my though :/, I'm sick of this thread being cluttered with "RUBIX YOU BS" when you have more proof stacked in your favor that you are legit, rather then you are not.

And yeah I'll make vids if I decide to stop being lazy. Problem is, again, they can't prove anything. They're just fun to watch.
