1: You are correct. The first jumble was to show how to use the number at the end of each word.
2: The purpose obviously worked as I wanted, as everyone saw this as some sort of code. However, it was a red herring, and was there merely to indicate that you might be using some sort of specific sequences. The number points you right to the letter.

4: Correct, nicely done.
5. Yup.
