Pisses me off, that's for sure. That song is my kryptonite. For whatever reason, I just fail miserably on what should be a relatively easy song for me. My best on it is 3-0-0-0 which I miraculously got today.

Is that seriously all you have to say? People actually DO care about this game, and they have every right to be concerned about anything that goes on.

Also, I myself don't care about ffr ranks much either, although there are basic things that should be dealt with - trainers jacking the ranks and such. FFR is pretty competitive and if people "just looked at it as a game" there wouldn't be tournaments. Playing competitively can be fun too, but arrogance can get annoying.

If you tl;dr this post or say something like "trying so hard" then you're proving my point.

Fact of the matter is that a lot of people put a lot of man-hours into this game. It was one thing to fix avmisses and completely nullify previous efforts and struggles. But do I think Left/Right mods break the game?

Depends. If a difficult song is difficult only because it has a hard pattern (e.g. a left-handed trill), Left/Right makes the song much easier. Is it cheating? Well, yeah, it is -- we're changing the file.

Fact of the matter is that a lot of people put a lot of man-hours into this game. It was one thing to fix avmisses and completely nullify previous efforts and struggles.

I was sad when this happened. Basically, the pro stepmania players took over the game and all that effort with getting scores with avmisses were gone forever...

I miss those times when i was dominating with avmisses. ;___;

The thing about avmisses though is that the majority of the players really disliked it (and for good reason too). FFR was no longer a "rhythm game", it was instead about deliberately hitting early, potentially hitting offbeat to make sure you didn't miss.

On my old account, I got a 6 good clean FC on turkish march with avmisses, and I wouldn't even come close to that PA if I tried avmisses again (despite how good my speed/jacking is, those don't help with timing). FFR without avmisses doesn't take nearly as much luck. Just my two cents.

That is true. I don't mind anymore though since it's been forever since it was fixed and the fact that I'm like 5x better now

Yeah, trading old timing with speed - Disregard AAA, much more likeable than hitting early on framers in my honest opinion.

I actually didn't AA disregard 1.3 but I have gotten mid 92% DP a few times.

Yeah, this. My competitive advantage largely disappeared when avmisses were fixed. As much as people didn't like the bug, I put a lot of effort into getting the scores I had.
