Backgrounds are not allowed on new files... you can include them in your submission but it will never be included in the game (and I doubt any of the judges have backgrounds on anyway).

To do a BG change, you use the BG change menu in the main menu on 3.9. I have no idea how it works but do some trial and error and I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Thanks dore. Trail and error did it. I'll also note the files you'd like to be the background need to be in the song folder along with your .sm and .mp3 files.

It's unfortunate that backgrounds are not allowed on new files. In this case, the text is actually a part of the piece (though of course I understand it would have no influence on the judges. The steps are the important part to them.) C'est la vie. Thanks again.

uhmmmm whenever i try to add my folder to .rar a thing comes up saying "cannot create ----------.rar" then it says 'access is denied'

should i be pressing the option that says 'add to "------------.rar"


or is it something else?

Ya also add in a bit about finding BPM, i remember when I first read this I didnt know about BPMs, and i was using 64ths to find the exact right note to sound and it took forever, then somone mentioned BPM to me and I found out i ould do 4ths and 8ths lol
