Bluearrowll = The Canadian player who can not detect awkward patterns. If it's awkward for most people, it's normal for Terry. If the file is difficult but super straight forward, he has issues. If he's AAAing a FGO but then heard that his favorite Hockey team was losing by a point, Hockey > FFR

Re: SM Scores
FC is a pain in the ass to achieve. Funny how this AA didn't beat my PR1 A, and funny how I actually play this file. The file sucks d***. Maybe I'll do better another day.

Re: SM Scores
Well hold on there just a second, samurai7694! I don't think that you should be so quick to dole out hurtful judgments on stepmania simfiles so quickly. What I like to do when going through some of my favorite packs (Dark Chancellors Pack, Keyboard Ultimate Mix) is to first listen to the song with my eyes closed, and either turn on FailOff on the second screen of options or enable AutoPlay by pressing F8 (though this may vary between different builds of StepMania). While I listen to the song, I try to picture a possible chart in my head, or if I have already played the chart, I listen to the parts of the song that the chart accentuates.
This act of 'meditation' on StepMania simfiles is, in my mind, one of the only way to appreciate many of today's greatest charts. I guess what I'm trying to say is, please try to remember that every simfile was created by a hardworking human being somewhere out there (they may even be members of this very stepmania community!), and it just doesn't seem right that you would belittle their hard work and accomplishment without attempting to first fully appreciate everything that they have put into their .sm file.

Re: SM Scores
Real talk. A big part of what makes Stepmania fun has to be being able to appreciate a well made file. While it's questionable that every simfile was meant to be enjoyed this way, I do agree that it's satisfying to "stepmaniafy" songs and files to get some more out of them.Well hold on there just a second, samurai7694! Re: SM Scores
While I do agree with your point to some extent, he has the right to criticize simfiles, whether it be a positive or negative criticism. Even if it is a silly comment like "lol this sucks", it is good for the author to hear that. It allows them to reflect on their work and really think about why they said that. Was it the music? Was it the patterns? Was it the use/or lack-thereof of mines? There will always be someone out there who dislikes your work, and as an author, it is your duty to make files so great that it appeals to everyone.Well hold on there just a second, samurai7694! Also, I know I have done what you have said (listened to songs and pictured the steps), but some people just don't have the time and patience to really appreciate the sweat that goes into making a file. I think more people would appreciate this art if they too delved into the simfile making process.
I couldn't help myself from laughing at this! Lol! You must remember that not all simfiles are actually .sm's! A lot of my favorite files (like Blur by arch0wl) are actually .dwi files!it just doesn't seem right that you would belittle their hard work and accomplishment without attempting to first fully appreciate everything that they have put into their .sm file
