That's pretty much the only explanation. You can't not AAA a song like {Red Alert} it's just way too easy to not do it if you can rank 7 on RATO, cmon. At what point will his skill level balance out? He'll be Top 10 in all 11's/12's/13's but have no AAA's on any 7's/8's/9's ? Not likely.

Edit: who_cares, what are you talking about? Scouter? I don't get it.

I just played {Red Alert} because I forgot what it was like -- I'd have to say it's pretty piss-easy though.

But I mean, just looking at your scores like these, alone -- ffs, you should be able to AAA anything 10 and lower. If you go back and play something like {Red Alert}, would you be able to AAA?

Which VC's? Are you unable to do well on them or is it just apathy?

I have AAA'd up to difficulty 9, and no AAA's on difficulty 10's.
One AAA on difficulty 11 (Black Key Etude, which isn't really an FMO..)

Part of the reason is my keyboard/computer in USA sucks (on that, I get 30 goods on a VC song, like, no matter what)

But in Korea here, I go to PC rooms to play FFR / hence the recent "skill boost"

But yeah, I guess I don't try hard enough..
I could AAA songs below difficulty 7, but I guess I don't try :P
For VC's though, AAAing is hard because I can't focus and I get random goods here/there.

I don't get why prefx is disqualified for pulling the same bull**** and when it comes to OHN's "amazing skill boost" they look the other way. I'm not bitching cause this is going to stop me from getting Rank 1 in the tournament, I'm playing for fun, I even signed up by accident of all things and just sort of started playing. The point is for the people who are taking this seriously and making a serious effort, OHN has too much of an advantage when FMO's or FGO's will be introduced. It's obviously unfair and everyone has taken notice of this back in Round 3 at least, so why hasn't anything been done about it? Why isn't Halo in D3 then if his score on RATO is worse than OHN?

Edit: If you can keep up with La Campanella and RATO you should easily be able to keep a constant rhythm on easier songs.

Considering theres only one person in the top 10 rato that has less than 100 boo FC I highly doubt RATO should be used at all for determining someones skill level. Its just a "how fast can you smash your keyboard wut" file.

La Campanella kind of, since the one hand trills can be jumped while sacrificing some PA

OneHandNow should still be D3 cause La Camp FC is like rank 15 if you go under 500 boos lmao

AKA stop using scores where 99% of players mash to get a good rank cause it proves nothing.

If I whore them.. I guess.. but only in Korea.
OR I could shell out $1000+ and get a brand new desktop / keyboard in the United States, but that's not a plausible option for now..

That is why I will NOT win the 5th Official Tournament because I go back to the states on the 20th.. so I might not even make it into the top 8 unless I AAA ALL the tournament songs til then

my inability to AAA VC's/lower is my flaw
plus we don't even go into FGO/FMO's until the later outrounds.. so why complain
i almost got cut off at round 3 or 4 (radius no hacker yasobu)
i barely made it up til this point, and i can't even get top 8 now because i go back to the states on the 20th

I had similar problem with OHN about 3 months ago.

I had no problem getting SDG on FMO/FGO songs, yet I couldn't AAA any below 10.

Anyways, it doesn't seem likely, either way he should have been up for his insane FMO/FGO scores or moved down for his poor accuracy.

I second Blue's post here. RATO isn't a good gauge at all. My laptop keyboard, for example, can't mash well worth a damn, but my USB keyboards unleash the fury. Besides, that's a really erratic and funky song and requires a bit of a different skillset than rhythmic PA'ing (although it does help, sure, but you need to know when to pick your battles and when to mash/when to actually try to PA).

OHN's LaCamp score:
11 12 La Campanella 4,441,310* 2774 101 13 0 44 2888 54

Honestly, I'd say nothing's wrong with it. There was clearly a decent bit of mashing going on there. When I look at OHN's ranks, I don't see D5 material, to be honest -- maybe D4.

Yeah, the one player who mashed RATO and got rank 7, and has rank 13 on La Campanella and many other ridiculous scores is considered D3 while he can't AAA anything the rest of D3 can.

yeah, because not many people can't AAA La Campanella, while MANY MANY people can AAA VC or lower songs

but i can't do that, so i just play FMO/FGO's for better rank, what's so weird about that?

if you noticed my level rank, i don't even touch difficulty 5 and below because i know I can't AAA, so i aim for good ranks on songs like La Camp, Schmollbluk, I hate the 80s, because i KNOW people can't AAA them (well, most)

if you wanted a good rank on la camp, you can go mash FC it and get rank 20 or below, be my guest

Sorry guys, but I think there's just a lot of speculative whining going on -- I think OHN's situation here is perfectly fine given the level ranks and everything else. If OHN has trouble with AAA'ing things, why are you guys worrying?
