Oh. This is sad. Really sad. Not the thread. What had happened. Cause, I love cats. And if I see one get hurt, that bad things happen to everyone. I love kitties. I only have one, and it may be a bitch, but I wouldn't do this to him.

He's 14. People who should be tried as adults are people at or over the age of 18. The only exception, in my opinion, would be some kid who did something extraordinarily felonious who is 17 and close to his bithday. This kid is FOURTEEN.

I hope you realize people, that this child shows signs of being a Sociopath.
He has NO empathy for anything.
He has NO grasp of right or wrong.
If you're wondering, the cameraman IS KENNY'S BROTHER.
He could kill someone at fourteen, would it mean he could get away with a slap on the wrist? It makes no difference whether it is an animal or a human being, both have just as much feelings. The only difference is that animals cannot defend themselves as well as another human could.
If you do not believe that animals have feelings and are just robots, take a look at the March 2008 edition of National Geographic.
MOST fourteen year old's are old enough to KNOW what they were doing was wrong. Kenny did, he just thought it was funny! Just because the kid is fourteen does not mean he can get away with a felony. Just because fourteen brain has yet to fully develop does not mean that they do not know the difference between right and wrong.
And.
There was more then one cat involved in these beatings. More videos were leaked of Kenny beating a black and white cat named Patches. There was probably more abuse that wasn't caught on film.

Not going to sign. I agree that it was wrong, in every way, and I love cats, but I don't think that 14 is close enough to 18 to (legally and mentally) have the decision making abilities of an adult. Given that, he's still a dumb kid and should be tried as a dumb kid.
I read on the website that Kenny's family is in the legal circle and are close friends with the local judge. Anyone know if this is true?
If it is, I'll be furious, because I know he'll get away with no more than a slap on the wrist. Even Vick, who was famous and rich, went to jail for animal cruelty.Funny stuff goes in this area right?Comment

When you think about it, abusing someone is usually an adult decision. I own 4 cats and would never do anything to cause them harm. I understand that he is not an adult, but he still needs punished for what he did. And in the case with Vick, what he did was so much worse then this kid and he is an adult so he was charged like one. The kid should go to juvenile hall until he is old enough to be sent to jail and should spend some time there as well. Thats just my opinion tho.Comment
