If he beat up a kid his age in the same manner you probably wouldn't care as much...what he did WAS bad, but not so bad to be tried as an adult.

but yeah, if this was the case, think about it, the kid he was fighting could at least attempt, if not defend himself, this is a fricken animal, it was helpless and coudnt do nothing.

how bout we put you in the place of the cat, and see how well you last getting thrown against a wall, punched, etc, then say if he should be tried for animal abuse, if not attempt to murder.

The kid screwed up huge and is dumb enough to tell/show everyone. He must go down and his cocky little friend that helped.

Yeah, he screwed up, but he still won't go to prison nor will he be tried as an adult. That petition is useless and pointless. It'll be just like the teens here who tied up a puppy and dripped acid on it. They got a few years in a juvenile detention facility and a large fine. That's all that can legally happen.

No, never. You guys need to stop thinking with emotions. The law will never try a youth, no matter how heinous of an animal crime it may be, as an adult. It will just never happen. Hell, it took forever just to get adults jail time for animal abuse. Kids won't get jail time. The case would be shot down before it even reached a court room. Whether or not you believe he should or should not be, the law trumps all emotions/thoughts. It states that a minor is not to be tried as an adult. (not word for word, but summed up) That's how it'll always be.

Anyway, why the hell should he be tried as an adult? He isn't an adult so he won't be tried as one. Personally I think that the punishments for juveniles should be the same as those for adults, the crime is the same whether it's committed by a 46 year old man or a 12 year old girl.

Exactly what I was pointing out. Thank god our judicial system has rules to it and isn't ran by emotion. Think of it from a lawyers point of view. I've seen much, much, much worse in terms of animal cruelty videos. If you really want to get over hyped, watch a terrorist beheading. That cat video is nothing compared to what is out there. There are people who deserve to die for the crap they do, this kid just deserves juvenile hall, a fine, and whatever else animal abuse laws dish out to minors.

They do not function the same way. They do not think the same way. They do not rationalize the same way. Kid's brains are not as developed in the area of rationalizing between right and wrong, thus they are never tried as adults.

I wont sign the petition because Im not the type of person to believe just one person will make a difference but...This kid needs to get some freaking help.
