I've just returned from a few weeks of SM only and (thank god) I finally seem able to play FFR again. I've seen some big improvements, and I'm getting some pretty cool scores.

Got this yesterday on my first try - no more background.


Second time playing this song. AAAed the 64th wall in the middle, and woulda been a mid SDG if I didn't good rush near the end. >.>


Just got this now. 3rd VC AAA. First try as well.

Rolls

Right-to-left - these are piss easy, all you do is roll your fingers downward on the keys. You can hit rolls VERY quickly this way, and even the newest one handers can do this easily.

Left-to-right - If you want to make a file anti-one handed, put walls of these in a file (lol Dead and Direct). These can be a real bitch to hit, and depending on how you play one handed will affect how you hit them.
If you slide your fingers on flat keys like me, you just push your fingers up in an ascending pattern on the keys - this make them really easy and with practice, you can hit them almost as fast as right-to-left rolls.
If you have raised keys...uh well I'm not sure how you do that, I'm pretty sure it's just a matter of being able to move your index finger across left/down quickly or your middle finger up/down fast, which of course is dependent on how much practice you have.
If you are 4 fingered and use your thumb, then rolls are the same in both direction. If you use your pinky, then it depends which hand you play with (if right handed, right-to-left rolls are easy, and vice versa. Try hitting rolls both ways on each hand to see my point).


Jumptrills

For jump-trills, it depends on where the jumps are. In some cases, you just use your third finger. If it's something like an up-down trill with down-left jumps, I'm pretty sure you'd just hit it as a trill with some extra notes in it (but if you're a slider it's so much easier lol).


Also, Dead and Direct is hard to read. :/ I doubt I could AAA.
