It depends on the size and shape of the gift and how many gifts are going to one person. If I am giving a few little things to a person I will more likely put it in a gift bag. If the gifts are for a child, though, I always wrap them.

You have to wrap your presents, gift bags are too easy to peek into.

Besides, how else would you do the whole gift card in a box, within a box, within a box, within a box, within a box, within a box, within another box?

What you really do is tape the gift card to the underside of the first box lid, tape a layer of cardboard over to cover it, and then stick boxes inside. Then, when the victim reaches the last box and nothing's inside, you tell him/her to check the first lid and laugh about how much time was wasted!

I was a professional wrapper once. Kind of funny really. It gets old after the 300th present or so. But I still wrap presents when I give them, especially for christmas. But if you suck at wrapping presents, and just pull the paper around the box and tie a string around the top, just stick to using bags. You need to know what you're doing. Who wants to get a ****tily wrapped present?

My parents wrapped presents this year, but we don't even have a tree to put them under, rofl. (Too lazy.)

I already know what everything is, and I asked them why they were still wrapping things. My mom just mumbled something about tradition or whatever.

I do both. I wrap it then put it in a bag and fill it with those Christmas tissue paper things

it's really cool what kind of wrapping paper you can get at the stores now, I was amazed at what fedex offered when I went to mail some gifts a few days ago to my family.

I wrap the gifts I get for my brother each year, but for others I just hand it to them.

Until I worked at a department store and had to learn how to "properly" gift-wrap, I rarely wrapped gifts. Now that I can make them look all pretty I love to wrap presents.

I use bags when a box would make it painfully obvious what the gift is. I put Guido's present in a bag this year, and when we did our gift exchange, he just asked me to close my eyes and stuck my present in the same bag because he hadn't wrapped it yet. =)

Haha, that's pretty smooth. I wrap them and I enjoy doing so. I'll put them in bags if it makes it look better. Or, if there's a lot I'll put them in a bag. Like, I'm putting all my girlfriend's gifts in a bag, but I wrapped them, too.

I don't do this christmas gift giving with wasteful paper. Instead I just give the person the gift. I find it silly to buy expensive paper to have it ripped up. So much easier to just keep the gift put up. And it's more of a surprise.
