Well you have two outcomes then. Either it's someone your family knew that knew where your valuables were, or it was someone who combed through everything thoroughly and took only the most valuable items. Therefore, you either have a fairly close list of suspects, or the robber left fingerprints and evidence everywhere.

To be honest, I would suspect somebody you know, as hard it is to believe. Or, it could've actually been someone that could've walked away after not finding your house key, I don't know. I would suspect that he actually looked for your house key more then he looked for your things to steal. Do you know if there were any other robberies close to you?
