Hmm. After seeing this thread, I checked my list of purchased songs and can see the new one there, without having purchased it. I see that's being worked on. I also thought 5000 credits was a bit high, but perhaps it's reasonable considering the amount of time that has passed since the previous ones. The only thing is I'm still short on credits to get the most recently released secret song. If I purchase this song now, I'll be even more behind. I guess I need to try to make more credits more quickly, but even so, I'll probably be at least one song behind somehow. Thanks for fixing this though. With a combination of purchased and secret songs fighting for credits, it should make things kind of interesting.

I think it's the same. I have not noticed any difference between the two.

Haven't seen you post in a while Dronak, good to see you still around. And... recently I've been working hard to try and make credits more meaningful. Hence the gambling page. And now this. And potentially some more stuff down the road. The goal IS to make credits meaningful. The goal IS to make you have to make a decision... "do i want access to the secret songs or do i want to buy this new purchased song?" Clearly there are a few very wealthy users that this will not apply to (maybe 100-200, absolute max, realistically closer to 50), but for everyone else... it's decision time! This all also goes hand in hand with the challenge fix, preventing users from receiving challenges on songs they don't have access to.

I think it will make FFR a very interesting place over the next few months, even for many long time vets. I look forward to seeing how things develop and play out. As Rubix and I have discussed over AIM, it's like a mini-economy... how will all the peasants handle the massive amount of goods they can buy, when they don't have nearly enough money for everything they want?

Thanks. I am still around, and I try to play the game fairly regularly, mainly to try to keep my overall rank in the top 1000. Sometimes it's easier to play than others, depending on what's going on in real life at the time. I don't always post a lot though. A lot of times I just come in to play the game. If you or others feel like chatting though, you can PM or something; there are ways to get in touch.

These changes should help make credits more meaningful. You're right that for some time, they didn't do a whole lot. If you had all 12 of the purchased songs and the secret songs (which weren't coming that frequently), there wasn't much else to use credits for. More secret songs has helped, and IIRC there were plans to go up to 100,000 credits for them, so there should be at least a few more coming. Adding more purchased songs will affect things, too. As you noted, for some really rich and/or quick-credit earners, this might not have a major effect. But for everyone else, it seems like we'll have some decisions to make, setting priorities on what we want most/first. This should be interesting, you're right.

P.S. -- Does not being broken also mean that we'll be able to buy the purchase songs in any order we want? I know that was a little annoying before, that I couldn't buy the cheapest or easiest songs first because I was given a specific subset of songs to choose from each time I went to purchase one.
