that one life when i actually tried to win it was really fun. you might not want to do the turn grab though, it's easy to hit you when you run past them

Well our matches seemed incredibly slow and none of us really got a good hit. Not sure if it was lag, but somehow it dragged on much longer than it needed.

From what I can recall, most of our matches between each other have been like the ones today. Heck, the Yoshi one was incredibly similar to what the last time I played with him that I can remember was like.

I'm still practicing with those. =P The idea is that if an opponent sees you charging at them, they'll more than likely roll away, so the pivot grab catches them on the roll. Not to mention it takes a lot less time to recover from it and block than a normal running grab does.

Just watched the Celtics PWN those LA losers. Epic Win!! It was like a 30-40 point margin. Seriously, total domination. The bars went ape-****, and we got free green shots haha. Luckily, no cars were overturned. I can't speak for Boston itself though, I'm just in lil ol' Nantucket. So, boats should be overturned here? Idk. That would be a funny sight.

I would post the 3rd event right now but I'm am teh drunkz. Goooooo alcohol! See you kids when I wake up in the mornin

Man, I'm pissed about that last match me Abbie. I was THIS close to winning and then I lost the freaking connection. I went upstairs and it turned out the computer had gone into stand by and kicked me off! What a piece of ***...

I'm not mad at Abbie at all,though. She did great winning the two after that, but I'm really starting to get on a losing streak now. Oh well. I guess i just have to win in my next match.

I hope I'm not sounding too much like Afro right now

ok, one of my brother's friends just came over about an hour and a half ago completely drunk, so no more brawl for me tonight. Sorry if anyone was looking forward to anymore matches with me. =/

And also, it needs to lead into you quitting the ladder.

ps I was playing anonymous online the other day, and this Ike or Marth kept doing forward aerials on me to edgeguard and I just couldn't get through it. Does anyone have any tips? The best thing I can think is to use my quick attack to go down, then toward the platform, but even if I managed to get that off perfectly, I'd land with a delay and he could still nail me. Is anyone good with priorities? What is Pikachu's highest priority aerial?

Why not just air dodge back onto the platform? You know.... just drop off the ledge and then jump back up with a dodge onto the ledge and then roll away for Pikachu's LYFE!!1!1! D:

That's a great idea.

Except that I'd have enough trouble timing that correctly with 0 lag, let alone trying to do it on a variable delay online. And let me tell you, I'm far from the best with shielding, but I'm even worse with working through air dodges.

I'm really sort of thinking my best option would be to just quick attack in an unexpected way to recover, and try to get away before he stomps me. That sucks for me though... I've been using my forward B more and more for recoveries (not like I can count on my second quick attack when playing online... ugh), so I'm pretty sure that in addition to having trouble timing it, my overall skill with that technique is down as well.
