Whats up with choosing random new partners in the middle of the tournament. Part of the tournament was picking a partner that has similar skill and who will stay with you. This might as well have been a single person tournament. Really pointless now.

Ive seen like 3-4 people do it by now. Sorry if yours was a legitimate reason but it seemed silly for everyone to choose new partners.

Ravia's reason for not being able to participate in this is more than understandable. The same goes for my partner. (I can't fully explain what happened with both of them because they would want it to stay confidential. You'll just have to take my word on this.) They both had something unexpected and unfortunate come up that is, at the least of their problems, preventing them from even accessing the internet for a long time. The majority of these people dropping out have just had huge problems come up offline that couldn't have been avoided or predicted.
