Me neither. I went ahead and used the second of the 2 links. The scoring is the same. Have fun y'all. And thanks for being understanding of me sleeping because I was tired last night. I thought I would get complaints.

scoring is not the same at all between the java applet snake and the new snake, fyi.... the snake-ii game is time based on scoring, ranging from up to 50 points (i think) if you get the snake in, like, .0001 seconds... down to 1 point if it takes you a while to get to. also, it appears that the longer you play, the faster it goes down to one. in addition, the controls are not as good and the playfield is much smaller... so, basically, getting 1000 is much harder in the 1st snake game, where it is the speed (1-6) times the color (red = 1, blue = 2, yellow = 4) for scoring.

I managed a little over 1300 in my 3rd attempt. but getting to even 2000 would be nearly impossible. I think score/1.5 would be a decent maximizer.... 1500 points is doable, yet not simple. IMO.

meh.... fluke lucky run on Ragdoll. 1st boss on Galactic is stupid.... and my god damn anti-virus update popped up in the middle of my Snake run, which is what killed me. Even still, point getting was going VERY slow. I guess 2000 is possible.... but it would take some luck in placement early on (for higher points) along with skill and luck in the endgame.





edit: now THIS was a solid snake run. Look at how long that sucker is. About 50% of the total space of the board.

So what's the deal with Snake scoring? Getting 1000 is easy... even 2000 is easier than I thought. I guess I'd recommend 1000 cap, score/2.5, at this point. *shrugs*. That is to say... getting 2000 is still not easy, but it isn't nearly as hard as 1000 on the 1st snake game.

PS - got all 3 mentals.

edit: y helo ther max score for round 2:

game is really really short, btw. get to the boss, beat the boss, it just re-starts again. doesn't even get harder or faster. my score is getting to the boss for the 3rd time.



4700 + 3000 + 2350 = 10,050

ragdoll... boring and repetitive


so, yes. all 3 are boring and repetitive.

edit: well... galactic is repetitive... it's not nearly as boring as the other two. i mean, most games are repetitive. FFR is repetitive in a sense.

They make sense. Trust me. Tass. I am sorry that this round bores you but Sunday a whole new round comes out. I am not changing the scoring again though on snake. Sorry.

oh man I must be lost then on how you solve these things.

I found out stuff on 3rd but I dont know if right. Im not that great on old arcade games for some reason. I just cant beat the boss and I know its easy also.

the snake scoring is fine... just trying to be helpful. *shrugs*. and no biggie. at least all the games were fairly quick and easy to master.


and... the mentals are actually all very simple. much more straightforward than mental 3 of round 1.
