I hope you don't mind, but I took that image, made that background color transparent and now I'm bringing it on here as an alternative that I take no credit for, it's still your idea and design, but now this one would blend with the background color of bender's profile or anyone else's profile.

its hard to make good quality transparent images that are GIFs cause of the different background options on sites and profiles. now, if a GIF could have good quality, then that would work perfectly ^_^

agreed, gif files are good and all but they get kind of hazy when viewed smaller :S .S omtimes i don't know if it happens for everyone, but i get little black dots appear in some of my gif files, witch is usually why i just try and stick to pure black backgrounds for my gif files :S:S is that werid?

its how the GIF file format tries to create gradient transparency with a limited number of colors (max 256 ) ... so it will take those beautiful blended color images of jpeg and turn them into distinct choppy color dots. bleh >_< . its good for simple pics and animations though that dont have too much color... and its meant to keep the file sizes down for web viewing.

PNG files work very well for transparent images though

I wish I knew how to do PNG graphic animations though :/... i'll have to look it up

You seem to be contradicting yourself. Did you mean to say it's hard to make good quality transparent images that are GIFs?

edit: also, I found out a little bit ago from HammyMcSquirrel that the forum pics are still in their original file format even though ffr says they're gifs. When you save it, it saves as the original format. Also, my TAILS letters are proof (They're transparent) because it's png quality, it shows up less smooth when converted to gif.

Uhh I don't want a pad, seeing as padding is retarded. I don't want anything FFR related because this game annoys me like there is no tomorrow. I'd accept something stepmania related, but it wouldn't be as good not coming from a non SM player

Btw this avatar making contest has no specs. It's pretty much up to anyone to come with an original idea, and see which one I happen to like the most. I like a bunch of the ones so far, but I haven't seen that one that just makes me go I MUST HAVE IT yet. Till then I'm just waiting to see what comes next.
