Re: Technical Death Metal
Alright, whatever, man.
Some people like it, some don't.
EDIT: You listen to powermetal - arguably the most disgusting form of metal, so I can't expect you to like anything with 'core' in it. You'd rather listen to some **** about winning the hard fought battle with thunder cracking in the sky and light being restored to the realm from the hands of the dark. Amirite?Last edited by foilman8805; 03-1-2008, 11:22 PM.Comment

Re: Technical Death Metal
Well, considering playing anything from power metal required a thousand times more skill, aptitude and plain talent than anything -core, I don't see how you can say such blasphemy. Playing boring rythmic patterns over and over on an overly detuned guitar doesn't take much skill nor creativity.Alright, whatever, man.

Not all power metal is about "winning hard fought battles over plains of bull****", but I'd rather listen to that than listen to pseudo-politic, whiny-ass morons who have no idea what the **** they're talking about.
Granted, not many power metal bands do stick out of the mass, but at least some of them do, unlike garbagecore where it all sound the ****ing same over and over and over again.
I'd love to see Winds of Plague compose anything as complex as anything Blind Guardian did.Truth lies in loneliness, When hope is long gone by -Blind Guardian, The Soulforged

Re: Technical Death Metal
The same way Verruckter says anything 'core' is garbage and that anything ever written by a 'core' band could never be as complex as the almighty Blind Guardian.
Anyways, I actually own a Blind Guardian CD - Nightfall In Middle Earth. Arguably their masterpiece, correct? I'll be honest with you and say that I wasn't impressed. It's good...it's clean...but it just doesn't grab me like the 'core' music does.
I'm not about to start a flame war either. Lets just agree to disagree.Last edited by foilman8805; 03-2-2008, 01:33 AM.Comment

God damn, you're such a ****ing troll, ShAi.
ABRB was good. No more Leche, no more band in my opinion.
Parkway Drive are the Kings of metalcore. Their breakdowns are unparalleled. Love them.
ABR is great too. I love their excessive use of that little crash symbol. Makes me happy.
IKTPQ, I've never listened to. Perhaps I'll go look them up.Comment

Re: Technical Death Metal
Oh okay, enjoy your generic metalcore, musicians who instead of learning transitions just add a breakdown anywhere they don't know what to do next. **** the scene, **** metalcore.God damn, you're such a ****ing troll, ShAi.

EDIT:Isn't it funny that all I hear great about this new genre is the simple breakdowns they create?Last edited by ShAiOnEi; 03-2-2008, 04:59 PM.I love my son Auron
