But if you're trying over and over and it doesn't work, Just go play harder song, Just for fun, or to FC, without stressing, and go back to it once and then. Eventually you'll get it.

I get nervous too. If you play a particular song for long enough you get so used to messing up at it, and eventually the anxiety passes and you can get through it.

The best solution, for me, is to go into almost complete body stasis, except for the hands. Don't blink, don't breathe unless necessary, and just stare at the screen. Don't focus on the combo, score, or "Perfect!". Black space is best, as it won't distract you.

And when your mind is bored, don't think about the song. Rant to yourself silently, or something. I don't know what your mind does in its free time.

I never get nervous, as I'm aware this is simply a game that does little (if at all) good to my life. A FC or AAA doesn't really mean much.

However, my eyes do get blurry and I start to tear, simply because I can't stand looking at the screen, focused, for over about 90 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on the difficulty of the song (always this time range no matter what, though). I can't do anything with this, so I just see colors moving

Don't think about it. Have someone next to you who you can talk to and be casual. When I have someone next to me to talk to I play better

This used to happen to me but has I found myself getting better at the game my fingers would get less and less shakey when doing well on a song. Now my fingers dont stutter at all when I'm playing. I guess practice is a remedy or something.

This happens to me for all for all songs challenging and up that i am about to FC and any song that i am about to AAA.

I have two pieces of advice.

First and foremost: Dont look down! Looking down at the score is the absolute worst thing you can do.

Second thing: Play like you have nothing riding on the song. I can't tell you how helpful it is when i am able to convince myself that i have already gotten a good and that AAA'ing is hopeless. When i relax, I play 100x better.

There's really no way to stop nervousness completely. If you start to get nervous, just breathe in and out deeply (works for me), make sure you stay focused, and, as dore said, tap harder.

Doesnt work when you hold your breath trying to do a certain part =)

I'm different because I have to know so I'll peek at a score then go for it after.

Before though, I would just hold my breath and just muscle out the AAA if I get close. Holding my breath though causes myself to go faster on the song, so I slow myself down a lot when I do it. But, that's how I get my harder AAA's.
