If you have a Wii, feel free to tell us what your friend code is. That way when games such as SSB Brawl and MarioKart Wii come out, we'll have a personal challenge for you. (optional)

        BTW: Mine is down here.

OH MY GOD! Everybody, get Super Mario Galaxy! That game is frekin awesome!

Honestly, I haven't played it that much since I got it (because I got it less than 1 hour ago) but I'm amazed at everything. Also somebody said the camera was a little tricky, but it isn't. It's just like Zelda games for N64.

Oh, and I went to Bestbuy to get the game unreserved. There was only one copy left. I got lucky because we got out of school today at 10:45.

Anybody check out that mii showcasing channel? Some things people make are jaw-dropping. I saw an exact replica of Miss Piggy. I saw Zoidberg. I saw 17 horribly done Michael Jacksons, but that isn't the point.
The contests look like they'll stir up quite a bit of creativity, and it'll be fun to compare the entries.
            Looking like a great channel.

I'm going through it slower than Super Mario 64 and all the Mario games before that.

I already have 50 stars. I'm guessing that this game is pretty short so if I beat it, Its going right back to gamestop for store credit.

Even Super Mario 64 is a relatively short run. The length comes from collecting all of the stars.

Hell, even Super Mario World isn't that hard to get to the end of, but to clear all of the secrets and things takes a much longer time. You know what. Even Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3 are easily defeated in short time if you know how to take advantage of what the game gives you.

ps for those of you who have it, how is the side scrolling stuff?

                      Re: The Wii is Here.

The problem that I have with this game is the fact that the controls become a bit awkward when you're on the mini-planets and Mario just runs around in a circle. Each Galaxy has only 5 stars (sometimes 6), there are 3 regular stars, 1 comet star and a secret star, and only 6 Grand Stars. I'm impressed with the gameplay and other interactions with this game but its just way to short. The only delays you really have with this game is when Mario is flying around once you shoot him from one of those star shooters or whatever.

ps: It took me a week to beat Mario 64 and 4 days to beat Sunshine.
Mario Bros 3, I didn't feel like beating because of that damn sun that always attacked you.

I can not wait for Umbrella Chronicles. I've been waiting for someone to realise that the Wii is perfect for games like Ghost Squad and House of the Dead.

Pretty sure it came out yesterday.

EDIT: And it's recieved pretty good reviews all around, so far.

I'm not a fan of those types of games, but that looks like it'd be at least a little fun anyway.

It's things like that that should make full use of the wiimote. Minigames and things too. Or anything with point and click stuff, as well as basic UI navigation. I just don't like seeing it implemented into 3rd person action/platform type things, unless it's done VERY subtly. Galaxy doesn't use it extensively, does it?
