pandaman, if it's any help (I don't know what 5* cutoffs have been posted), I got a The Way It Ends 5* at 380,957. My closest 4* was either at just over 330k or 340k, can't remember.

Oh, and I beat TDWDTG legit-style. That's really, really annoying. It's nice that you don't really have to.

the 5* cutoff is somewhere after 360 i know that >.>

Quick Questions:

I just started playing and I'm a left hander playing righty...good or bad?

Should I strum with my thumb or use hold it between my thumb and index and strum in both directions.

Probably bad, because you won't be able to strum fast enough. I dunno, maybe not.

Strum down with your thumb for 8th notes and below (except for Take This Life and maybe a couple others) and strum up and down for fast stuff.

I do that, but I alternate my index with my middle.

It mainly has to do with the fact that I play bass.

unless ur playing on ps2 i dont think youll be competing against him

Ill be playing walking bass on RB (as the strum bar has less of a tendency to overstrum due to its nature)

but ill still thumb strum on geetar

I then proceeded to have my ego shattered by the Dragonforce intro. Seriously, my hand is not meant to bend that way so fast.

Yeah, I'm thinking I'm going to try and take drums, but will be shoved into playing guitar due to trouncing all of my friends at GH. On the other hand, I'm the only one who actually plays drums out of any of my friends, and these drums look like they actually simulate real drum playing. HMM INTERESTING

also i'd like to try vocals but i get the feeling that the only time i'll get to do that is when nobody's around

Passed Raining Blood. My fingers are cooperating today. I 5-starred almost every other song in Hard.

I'm up against Lou. There is no cheap move against Lou on Hard. Those fast jacks don't exist on Hard. Worse still, he uses his powerups right as yours are about to show up, so you miss them every time.

I can survive his barrages and even play the song, but I always get to a point where he uses two powerups at a time and I lose. I never get a single powerup the entire match to use against him. This is my tenth time playing. So far, I've actually managed to get one powerup. Didn't do much since it was just a lefty flip.

Rofl, my friends and I did the full demo they had at Best Buy. We did Dani California with me on vocals, and that was the only part we didn't suck at.

Oh by the way I beat that jerk.

I knew where the powerups were, I just couldn't hit them because they were in the middle of streams. So when I knew they were coming, I just stopped playing notes and focused on hitting the power gems. I had two powerups and I was in red, so I used them right as he used crap on me. I got a third one and used it. He used another on me. I got a fourth one and used it.

Sad thing is, it went Amp Overload -> Amp Overload -> Lefty Flip -> Lefty Flip. I used one while the other was still active (one immediately after the other), so I'm amazed it even killed him.

I was so dead going into the "Finish Him". I don't know how I pulled it off. I would've been pissed had I lost the finale.

Finally, I can play the legitimately difficult mode. Expert, at least, has all the notes. Hard was harder than Expert. Of that I can be certain. Y'all are like "lol lou is easy just get whammy and use it here and he's dead!!!1". You can't do that on Hard.

For everyone who said I sucked: go play the game on Hard. Tell me if you notice a difference. A lot of other people seem to say there is.

Man I'm tired and my fingers are burning. I think I'm done for the day. Not even going to bother getting my Expert career to the fourth venue.

By the way, word on the street is that the boss battle songs will be free DLC, so that they are playable in Quickplay.
