Bah. They better not delay it here... This is one of the most anticipated games period. What are they thinking? Well, if they add more content i suppose it'd be okay.. but there goes their big christmas release.

As for Sonic, if you watch the video it looks like his Smash attack will involve Super sonic like at the end of Sonic Adventure 2 for dreamcast. That's kinda cool

EDIT: i just read the IGN article... it mentions super sonic there too ;]

well it might happen like the wii, you know it was released in japan days later than here, so we have a very very slim chance that they don't delay it here.

i say there is a slim chance since the main page changed the american release date to TBA, however i hope the game is released before the end of this year

Putting sonic in this game is completely fanservice and that is what makes this so awesome. Also the music in the sonic vid owns just like the game it was originally from.


SONIC IS SO AWEESOME! Brawl is so worth the price of the wii. I honestly do not care about any other nintendo wii game.

Brawl is going to make me so freaking happy it's unbelievable!!

The thing that's the best about Sonic joining Brawl (for me anyway) is that they're using the song Live and Learn from Sonic Adventure 2. That is going to be an awesome sound track to a chaotic battle.

Yup, the game only needs now is a few more surprise characters.....hopefully Mega Man

Live and learn is the BEST sonic soundtrack ever and it sounds kickass.

Let's be honest. The last GOOD sonic game was sonic battle 2 *adventure* IMO. Most people would even say the second sonic turned 3d, the series went farther and farther downhill.

I really hope they didn't further corrupt sonic's place as one of the best video game characters ever.

If they do delay it, it will be about the 5th time. They started making it a LONG LONG time ago, waaaay before the Wii. I remember hearing almost a year ago that Brawl would release with the Wii... but as you can see it's been a year (almost).

I'd say to let the developers take as much time as they need to; I would rather have a really polished game than a rushed release.

Sonic Adventure on the Dreamcast was pretty good, and then Sonic Adventure 2 was pretty good, everything else after that were terrible.
I love the old side scrollers.

well if you can use sonic on the story mode in brawl it would be just like playing an old school sonic game, that's awesome

Speaking of the old Sonic side scrollers, does anyone think that there will be a Death Egg based level in the adventure mode with Eggman as a miniboss?

That would definitely be one of the best places in the game if they did.
