As for the Wii: I sort of gave up playing... I only use it to play SSBM now. Hopefully, Brawl doesn't suck.
That was all I used it for, but then I got a wifi connection. pretty awesome. also i started playing Wii Sports again, in bowling i got 8 strikes in a row. i felt pretty proud of myself.

Brawl...sucking?!?!? ARE YOU KIDDING?!? have you even checked the official website yet??

        Exactly. They're changing things.

I mean, my initial thoughts of Melee were disappointment due to the nerfing of Pikachu. Since then I've gotten used to it and dealt with it, and even gotten comfortable with new skills, I shudder to think that in a few months I'll have to deal with that new **** again.

To be honest, I'd rather just see the N64 version with more characters and more levels and better graphics. I don't like the nerfs/buffs, and I do not like the change in the physics system that allows for people to take advantage of glitches. Online play should be good, but just imagine if they don't fix the wavedashing issue... it'll be basically impossible to find someone who is fun to play against that doesn't use glitches to be better than you.

ps yes I have checked the official site. It shows a ton of new **** and some screenshots which don't really give you a feeling of how true gameplay is. Even the video they released has more of a cutscene feel.

i don't think the change of a character is something bad i think it is something good, sure it takes time to get used to it, still it gives the same gamplay with a more different and fresh feeling. but i can't deny they are gonna change some things of the characters because they already said so.

as for the physics, yes they are changing it once a again, and this time i hope they get wavedash OUT, (but if you looking for non-wavedashers, you got squeek and me)

the core of the gameplay it's still the same so i don't think a lot of videos are needed

okay, if u thought melee was bad at first but turned out being THE best GC game, then wouldn't the same thing happen for SSBB?

ok, so all that new stuff is what you want... isn't that what happened?!? and if you do think it will be bad, then why don't you just keep playing the N64 version?

emmmm good point XD, the N64 version is my least favorite, it was really short and i smashed 2 controlers playing it, it pissed me off a lot (although it was a great game).

Flawed logic. It could be great, it could be ok, it could be crap. Just because Melee turned out ok despite my initial opinion, doesn't necessarily mean that I'll feel the same about Brawl.

I packed up my N64 over a year ago. Then I got a Wii. Then I was like "hey I could get melee" since I never owned a gamecube.

All fighter games are "short"; the only reason Melee isn't as short is because it has a ton of mostly worthless unlockables and things to "earn". And you breaking controllers doesn't make it a bad game... it just means you have anger management problems. I've personally had my share of angry moments thanks to the game, but I never broke anything.

Ok, tell me. How is my logic flawed? All you said was that Melee was "ok", you never said how my logic is flawed.

Because using that logic, any game that seems okay to start off with becomes the best game on the system.

Ok, changing the subject a little.

Very early this morning I got an email on my wii from nintendo about the new Wii Remote Jackets. Since I don't have one and they're offering them up for free I decided to order one. If anybody got a Wii a while ago and didn't get a Jacket with their wii remotes, then go to www.nintendo.com for a free jacket. what really got me was that there is NO charge, not even shipping and handling. This is just a suggestion to anybody who has had the inconvinience of playing a game and having the remote go flying out of your hand, like me.

weeeeeelll what i meant is that played a lot of that game, what it pissed me off is that the analog of the 64 stoped working (mostly because of my cousins and overuse of them not of angry issues, and yes it only happened with the 64 controler because i still have my ps1 controler intact) and when i mean my least favorite doesn't is a bad one, is just i like melee (and certainly im gonna like brawl more than melee). just because you didn't like to earn and unblock those things doesn't make them any worthless, that's the point of a hardcore game, the feeling of acomplish something (while having some fun)

but anyway its your opinion i respect that you didn't like melee because of some issues, we can see on the videos and screenshots that the core of brawl is the same as melee so it won't be a supreme dramatical change, but its gonna have some new things that are not gonna make it just a sequel with new characters, and abilities.

yeah i ordered 2 jackets, i don't have an issue with the remote but you'll never know when a little kid is gonna throw my remote to the TV screen

Actually, trophys are 100% worthless and do nothing to increase actual game content.

The additional unlockable characters and levels were nice, but the majority of the "length" of "completing" the game is trophies.

Yeah, because trophies aren't content, right?

I like the trophies, personally. I really didn't know my main character, Captain Falcon, all that well until I earned his trophies and was able to read up on him. The trophies also give a lot of insight into how some playable characters operate. For example, one of Fox's trophies in Melee explains his weight change as far as physics are concerned when compared to the original. The trophies also let you read up on some Nintendo history. Of course, trophies aren't the main focus, but they're a nice and very welcome addition.
