I hate EHHS v2, it's so boring.

v1 is so awesome, it's like, the best stepchart on FFR. So much fun.

I hate Kagami.

Mostly because I play ITG a lot and I'm expecting the steps from the official stepchart, but then they don't come and I get owned.

that's your problem right there.
i went from average rank 6,000 to 1,400 by making the switch.
wireless = TERRIBLE on FFR, especially for jumps.
use a wired one, and you should vastly improve.

I play a wireless keyboard, it works fine most of the time, it's a ***** when the batteries give out during a song though.

*edit* Than again I'm terrible at FOTBB, I'm half convinced i suck and half convinced it's registery problems. I might try a non-wireless and see if it's any better.

*second edit after some thought* This is kind of obvious but are you playing easier songs? Lots of them have little stutter steps where they aren't actually jumps but very close together, giving them different timing.

When jumps appear, I usually have a bad tendency to actually "Simulate" jumping.

I mean, by bouncing my hands from jump to jump. It seems to help me....but I have to break that habit if I ever want to get any good at jumpstream. >.<

The best way to get better at Jumps in my opinion is to play 2 stepfiles on Stepmania.

The first is Bahamut's
Ready Steady Go
and then someone's ( I think Rebirth's )
Vault of Heaven

After playing those a few times I had no trouble reading / doing jumpstream. Oh wait he said jumps. . .

I'm alright with jumpstream anywhere below 140BPM at a resonable song pace. (Not like the ones I'm making.)
