    DDR ran on the old PSX just fine. I'd assume, being a scrolling rhythm game, that Guitar Hero would work quite well.

        No. But it will reach the point where it won't be fiscally responsible to produce for the PS2 anymore.

                Are you talking about in monthly sales? Because the Nintendo DS holds that, followed by the Nintendo Wii.

                    We're talking about consoles not handhelds. Comparing the Wii vs. PS2 sales, the PS2 still holds more sales then the Wii even if the Wii is selling like hotcakes. However long that last, it's hard to tell.

                        It will get to the point where games that developers want to make will not be able to function on the current consoles. That's when we need to step it up, not neccessarily for graphics.

                                Not week-by-week if you line up the launches and not week-by-week today.

                                If you're talking overall, then yes. The PS2 is winning. That's obvious.

                                    well of ofcorse overall sales for PS2 is winning it's been out for how long? and the Wii was released recently so that's hardly a fair comparison

                                        Get the weekly sales data and line up the numbers on a weekly basis from week 1 of launch, week 2 of launch, etc.

                                                everyone loves video games now due to cooler graphics, game systems, and sweet gaming tech. And yes, it is defenetly popular right now.

                                                The PS3 isn't worth it. I bet whoever bought it from E-Bay for $1000 is already pissed.

However, to continually try to shove statistics down our throats is not going to make us like any console more than the other. If you want to be honest, once the 360 drops its prices, Wii is going to step up its game.
