See this is what happens when terrible players play terribly and beat even worse players and then start to think that they have valid builds/strategies/~*~theorycrafting~*~ etc.

Yeah... also guys, I found that my MA improved substantially when I went back to singles after having played solo for a while (though my stamina / reading was a bit rusty, understandably). Thing is... singles seem so freaking boring when you start playing solo because having two more panels makes everything that much more interesting.
If you suck, that's only because you're newb. Give it at least 3 days of practice. It only took me about that much and I'm already getting decent-ish scores.
And make sure you play songs that seem easy for you when you start. If you play a conversion/autogenerated steps of a file that you'd find interesting playing singles, you'll probably get crushed, and you'll develop bad reading habits. I used to always play singles at C770, but I started solo at C550, which was my 1.4x music rate mod for singles, and then moved up to C592, C642, C700, and then C770, and then dropped back down to C730.
