Well, he got a ban for "spam" in their equivalent of critical thinking, on two occasions, I think. Once he posted that he loved the topic being discussed and would post more when he got home. Another time he accidentally hit submit or something and ended up submitting like a two-word post, and while editing in his actual thoughts, Sid banned him.

Once he tried to start up a C-A-D metrivia game, and got banned for calling something "The Official CAD" anything without permission.

I don't know what the "final straw" was, but it was something trivial and his ban message on the noose said he'd had too many chances. I'd look it up, but 1) Guido got my IP banned when he was caught browsing under a different name (not posting -- browsing, and I think he might have been in IRC chat with Sid), and 2) Sid removed the noose.

Welcome to the internet. Here, you will encounter the strangest, and most annoying of creatures to ever be discovered. One of these is the not-so-magnificent troll, or, annoyingus bastardus. These creatures like to create many stupid pointless annoying messages (aka SPAM), to attract attention. Attention is their life force. Without it, they die.

Glad to see tht my rant about people being rude just helped to draw in a bunch of people with nothing more on their minds but being rude, or acting like they're better than everyone. A bunch of people meaning Guido, of course, who seems to think that grammar really IS a big deal. And as for my poem, Guido, I posted it here because no one really gives a rats ass about the literature forum and it'd get viewed more here. Its something that I felt was important and would've liked to share.

Necro, you seem like a cool guy that could get the grip of things around here if he stuck around. The only thing that's wrong with what your trying to explain is that it goes against the forum rules to post topics in the wrong forum. You'll receive the most constructive and helpful advice on your poems in the Literature Forum because the people who care about Literature will browse there, rather than random people browsing this forum.

The grammar thing you'll pick up on your own the more you stick around. When I first came here I used 2 type like dis and use 'u' instead of 'you' and stuff like that. Plus, you can always go to this thread for free grammar lessons.

Exactly. Sure you feel you wanted it to be seen by more people, felt it was that good/important, whatever the case may be, but we can't just let EVERYTHING in the CC just because people want more people to see it. If everything went in the CC then it would be chaotic. Not only that, but wouldn't you rather your poem be critiqued by those who go to the literature forum FOR the literature? They probably know what they're talking about a lot more than the average Chit chat goer.

The mods in this forum are usually pretty cool, some can be rude/dicks/"mean", but it's all usually to a purpose. Guido usually rips on people when they're acting like idiots, and I assume it's to get them to start using their heads.

The reason people are so intent on grammar is because proper grammar DOES make things easier to read. No one's going to say, "Ahhh! You didn't capitalize! Die!" We just ask for the basics. There's reasons for everything done here. Once you realize that you'll get on just fine.

On the contrary, my dear friend. I actually have a pretty good grasp of grammar, thank you very much. I agree that some people do need grammar lessons, mostly my father who pronounces wash 'warsh' and oil 'earl'.
