Post Count determines your rank. I'm a member, which you need like 30 posts or something to have it. The next rank is Senior Member, which requires 500 posts.

"Rank" is pretty inconsequential when it comes to if people care about you or not.

Still, I don't know why users keep posting nonsense stuff just to raise their post count. Those postwhore people should stop now, there are over 1.4 million users registered, and this is a big community.

They feel like it will make them more respected in the eyes of new people who will go "wow, he / she has a lot of posts, they must be popular and cool!"

Very true. Though there is a difference between posting lots of (mostly) meaningful content (a la myself) and post-whoring (a la others).

That wasn't really the point of it, I wanted to show TRD that I'm coming up really fast, and that I still do have the chance to pass tass' postcount. I think I started the year with fewer than 3000, but w/e it was, it was miles away from where I am now.

I stopped caring about my post count a long time ago. And to make a very few people happy, I stopped posting in the games forum lol.

2k whenever. 3k whenever. 5k when i feel like it.
