    Re: The Wii is Here.

Elebits is incredibly fun. Very hard though. Just got to the 8th stage and I failed for the first time. Came within seconds on stage 7.

It's not all just "throw crap around looking for elebits". In some stages, you have to keep quiet the whole time, and in others you have to make sure not to break things.

But really the best fun is going back to the stage to do a "get the most watts possible" where nothing matters but finding the guys.

Oh, and multiplayer is pretty sweet.

    1) Get Monkey Ball if you had the GCN versions and liked them. If not, well, it's still a really solid game.

    2) Get RayMan if you have lots of friends. It's heavy on the multiplayer.

    3) Get Elebits because it's fun.

    4) Get Trauma Center because it's fun.

    5) Consider Red Steel because it wasn't half bad.

Yeah, I'm kinda excited for the multiplayer stuff... I guess I'll go for Rayman and Elebits now, and pick up Monkey Ball (and probably Trauma Center, maybe Red Steel) some other time.

Edit: No luck =\ First they told me it doesn't come with the normal truck, but a separate one that wasn't there yet, and then they told me it wasn't coming until tomorrow. I doubt I'll be able to go early tomorrow... Damn. I did get Elebits and a controller/nunchuk, though.

        In slightly related news:

The Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess = Game Informer's 2006 GAME OF THE YEAR

Nintendo: Publisher of 2006, Developer of 2006

And in the tradition of Pheonix Wright on the closing of Clover studios....

          Haha oh crap =/

I thought Elebits was going to be easy the whole way through. Guess not.

I've failed the level three times now. It only aids the replay value of the game by making it more difficult, so that's a good thing.

We whipped through the first six stages without losing, or even coming close to losing, so I was getting worried. Games that are too easy are no fun.

I also played some more Trauma Center since I hadn't played it properly before. I got to the 2nd "act" and stopped there since I didn't really want to keep going on a game I don't own yet but will in the near future. Came close to losing one mission but passed it. Even S-ranked one of the levels... somehow.

          Man I love Wii games.

Edit: Warioware looks better EVERY DAY.

I believe you play the purple one, and you have to do everything everyone else does in time.

I think warioware is going to be one of my favorite Wii games. It looks extremely fun.

              I'm sucking at bowling. Getting around 190-210 every time now. -___-;

I realized how incredibly gaaaay Tennis is today. It's pretty easy to do power serves but I wasn't hitting them today. On the forehand side, it's really easy to return a non-power serve for a winner. My bro beat me every time because he'd break me every time (I served most). Each return of his forehand-side were return winners. Nothing I can do other than power serve... All you do is hit it cross court fast. You can do the same with backhand but it's a little harder.

              Oh and he'd wave the wiimote around and get lucky with his net guy. -_-;

                ****.

I woke up at 5am to get a ride to target, and waited in line for two hours. I was number 19 with an estimated 15 systems there. Hoping against hope, I waited until 7:30, when they handed out tickets. At 8 when the store opened, I was number 16 with 15 consoles, and almost all of the buyers were there. I looked around for a bit, bought a controller+nunchuck and left. The employees said that the tickets were valid until noon, so I might call and see if it's there. I know that almost all other stores were full, so there isn't much chance of finding anything.

Does anyone know of a good strategy? I don't really care about odds, I just want a way to get my hands on a console for under $300.

ps the controller is awesome and the wrist strap is thin.

pps I already have Zelda from my birthday, so all I need is the system and I'll be ready for partying.

There's a rumor that Katamari is coming to Wii.

The guy who made the original games said "no more" and won't be behind these if they are made. So, even if it's true, it's iffy if it's actually good news or not.

I was playing We <3 Katamari the other day and I wondered to myself "Why doesn't Nintendo just make a deal with Namco rather than making a similar yet unrelated game?"

Anyway, does it really matter if the main guy isn't behind it? They could easily make a port of the PS2 game and I'm sure it'd still be quite successful.

I'm actually hoping it is a port. I wouldn't want it any other way. Not that a new game wouldn't be fun, but why spoil the franchise? Hopefully it's the two games bundled together, since individually they sold for $30 each and they are now years old, making a $50 price point not hard to swallow.

I was picturing ways they could do this, and I came up with two.

                          1) Just like Monkey Ball, the controls are solely handled by the Wiimote and tilt is measured in order to determine direction.

                          2) With the nunchuck, you act as the Prince and you push/pull/bend to push the ball.

Personally, I see #2 as being the most tiring, but the most fun BY FAR.

They could just do the tilt of the two halves of the wiimote in place of the direction of the two analog sticks on the dualshock.

                            ps
Hopefully it's the two games bundled together
If that's done, I'd also like to see some of the PSP game's content, as I am definitely not getting a PSP ever.

In other rumored release news, while searching for a list of RPGs, I came across this:

It's a list gathered of all RPGs to be released on the Wii. You know, for people like Moogy who like lots of RPGs.

The rumor about Namco's game is that it's a Tales game, and fanboys hope Camelot's game is Golden Sun 3.
