It shows you ungrayed for me... It's shown you ungrayed since the 1st. Make sure you're connected? I don't know.

Let's leave our consoles on and connected, I guess. I already sent you Miis and a message. :S

I'll add pyro when I get home in an hour.

              Personally, I don't want to.

The messaging system is like e-mail, so it's stored on Nintendo's servers no matter what.

Reason? First of all, I turn off my wireless router when my computer isn't on. Second, my Wii is getting warm on the left side when kept on for that long. I don't like it when electronics get warm for no reason. If it's really only using ten watts of power and completely idle, it should not be generating any heat whatsoever.

So, I disabled Standby on my console settings. When I turn the system off, the light goes red.

I don't think it'll be a problem. Has anyone sent me any messages in the past three days? If so, I've been missing them and it IS a problem. If not, then I think I'm alright.

Yeah Squeek, we sent you two messages from my Wii on Saturday I think it was (maybe Friday night? My memory for time is horrendous >_> ). :/ If you didn't get them, I guess that means you need to stay connected.

In other news, my router appears to have died and I haven't had time to mess with it yet. Hopefully I can get it back online.

I also wish you could check your own sent messages.

Squeek, the temperature is not an issue. Now, when I had it flat, it got HOT. If you really want to see how insignificant the heat issue is, leave your console in standby in the horizontal position for a few hours, and then feel the bottom. If Nintendo says that horizontal is fine, then vertical is NOTHING in comparison.

I don't leave my wireless router on either. I'm also an electricity freak.

I got a message from banditcom a few days ago. I never got yours though.

I hope they address this, because the manual says you'll still get messages even if Standby is off. I still have WiiConnect on... I just turned the illumination and standby off.

You'll get messages if standby is off... when you turn the console on. If standby is off, then WiiConnect24 is off. WiiConnect24 can only run when the Wii is on, or in standby, depending on your settings.

Squeek, electricity doesn't really cost that much. Why are you so paranoid about leaving it on?

Because it costs a lot in my area and my mom is paranoid about it.

Plus I honestly don't like it when my electronics even get warm when they're supposed to be "off".

"Off" does not equal "Standby," Squeek. That's the point.

Do you unplug TVs, clocks, VCRs, and microwaves when they're not being "used," per se? Everything uses a little bit of electricity when it's plugged in, whether it's performing some sort of operation or not.
