Isn't Naota from FLCL? In Japanese, "naota" would be pronounced more like now-ta. The letter A in Japanese (well romanized Japanese) is never used to make a hard A sound.
Why would make such an obvious thing then say it should be pronounced differently?
9 out of 10 people would say "enn-for-sir"... if people understand my wayof pronunciation. Nothing is really different, except with the lopoff of the "e", the sound is gone as well. But most people don't give much attention to that.
