The reason I believe god doesn't exist is because I think there's suffient evidence that human life was created without god. Also back in the days of Jesus all the miracles that Jesus did have almost all be proven to be extreme coincidences. Like when he parted the Sea or whatever, theres a chance that at that time there could have been an extreme drought causing there to be no water in that area... Oh well who cares... No one is going to prove anything here. This happens to be all opinionated...

The O- God has never messed up. He is perfect- everything about Him. The great flood was made on purpose- Since he made man to have their own will, they chose to sin, and the world sinned, so He started over. Yes, He could do anything, he could have stopped them from sinning, but God gave man a choice whether to follow Him and sadly, many of us have chosen to reject God's wonderful gift of life.
Anyway, when God said he created us in His image, I think he meant he gave us the ability to love, to have feelings, etc. God the Father and The Holy Spirit (as in the Trinity) do not have an image. But God the Son (Jesus) was most likely like others in the Middle East area.

I think as the years passed by, our skin colors started to differ. I learned it in public high school, 9th grade, history class. The teacher was talking about how our DNA started to split or something. We adapted to different enviroments on this planet, like extreme hot and cold weather, etc.

I guess it's part of being human.

And, who knows, maybe God and Jesus had some really really really good tan. :P

Actually, DNA variations were more common in the past, but then there was a point in time where the population bottle-necked because of a flood, and humans became more alike, because the people with different DNA died. Human DNA doest split like you were saying though, but it was further split back then than it is now.

This means that God is not bound by the same things man is. He isn't concerned with apearance so why should we?

If God created man in the picture of himself, then why are there more black people in the world than white people? Or more asians then whites? I cant stand when neo-christians beleive that god is only white, how can they be sure? I love how the movie Bruce Almighty(starring Jim Carrey) choose Morgan Freeman to be God. By the way, Im white myself, but i just dont understand how god can only be white.......OR, is he a mix of every type of human being? Anyone have any explanations? thoughts? inputs? im open!

If he created man in the image of himself, this would imply only that he created man to look like him. This has little to do with race because it never said in the bible that god is white. Every race as a vast difference of looks in their people, take two white people and one asian and the took white people won't necessarily look the most the same. The term 'white' or 'caucasion' means people whos ansestors originated from Europe, any one who thinks god originated from europe and has the nerve to say that he is white is a complete and utter idiot in my eye.

My appathy towards this subject increases as I read this pointless and insignificant babble. This is anti-intellectualism at it's best. Besides...have you ever looked at a platapus? I could write a book called "The Teachings" and have it full of my own story of how the universe came about, completely mystical and fake, and full of things about how "the light of the gods fused and there was earth" and other ambiguous crap, and if it had been around the same time as the bible, and had been taken so seriously, and taught people that if you were good, and believed, that you wouldn't just die pointlessly like what the truth was, but would instead live again in some ambiguous happier life, then it could be like the Bible.
