Re: Canadian Federal Election '08 - Who Should Win?
Not totally true. NDP has claims (if you look through their plans) that they've fought for, if not adding more funding for cultural programs, keeping the money which is already in them, in them. Err, convoluted sentence that was: they're purporting that they at least won't take money away from them.
I'm never as knowledgeable with my politics as I want to be, so the fact that there was a link here was excellent for me, because I've actually visited each party's website. (Well, the parties that are running my riding at least.)
NDP looks like the best party for me, which isn't surprising to me. New thing I found out: they're opposed to outrageous DRM, which is neat.
I may have liked the Liberals if only I knew more about what they hell they're trying to do. They have the least informative website of all the major parties. (And if anyone says that I should look to other places than just websites, I can't get any useful information about anything from listening to radio or TV it seems. The majority of stuff I hear is either vacuous or attacking.) Also, to the person upset about the fuel tax that they suggest, if you actually read more about their taxes, they say that they're planning on cutting taxes in other areas to make up for that, to counter exactly what you complained about.
Does anyone know if any of the parties are planning on helping out railroads at all?
About the PQ party, if I could vote for them, I might actually pay attention to what they have to say. I couldn't care less about have Quebec be their own nation: if that's what a majority of people want, why stop it?
